Prayer for sleep

We join you together in prayer for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep, and we thank you for asking in the precious name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.
We know how wearying pain can be, especially when it robs you of sleep, and our hearts go out to you. Our God sees your suffering and He cares deeply for you. He is not distant from your pain, He is your healer and your comforter, and He desires to give you rest.
Scripture reminds us of His tender care over us in the night. Psalm 4:8 says, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. And Psalm 127:2 tells us, for he gives sleep to his beloved. Jesus Himself invites us in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We also cling to the promise in Philippians 4:6-7 that when we bring our requests to God, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. He also calls us to cast all our worries on Him, because He cares for us, as we read in 1 Peter 5:7.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the pain they are enduring and how it weighs on their body and mind. We ask for Your healing touch, for relief from this pain according to Your will. Lord, You are the One who heals, for You have said in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask that You would ease their discomfort, calm their body, and quiet their mind. Grant them peaceful and restorative sleep tonight and in the nights to come. Let them lie down in peace and sleep, trusting that You alone keep them safe through the night. Guard their heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding and renew their strength as they rest in You. We trust You as the One who never slumbers, who watches over Your children continually. May they awake refreshed and restored to serve You with new strength. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every ache and every anxious thought to the Lord before you sleep, to make a quiet time of prayer part of your evening, and to rest in His promises. If this pain continues, we also encourage you to seek wise medical care, trusting that God often works through the hands of physicians as part of His healing. Keep trusting Him, for He is faithful and He hears your prayers.

Your request for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep has been brought before the Lord with tender care, and we join our hearts with yours in prayer.
We are reminded that sleep is the gift of God. We think that we lay our heads upon our pillows and therefore we naturally sleep, but it is not so. The Scripture saith, so he giveth his beloved sleep. It is a sleep of contentment and of security which the Lord bestows upon those who trust in Him, a quiet resting after toil wherein He recruits our exhausted strength.
He who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed knows your pain. Our Saviour's eyes were always quick to spy out those in pain and peril, and His hands were always stretched out for their relief. He is acquainted with our frailty, and He pities as a Father pities His children. Though now there is pain and weariness and nights without rest, we look to the promise that God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes, and there shall be no more pain, for the former things are passed away.
Let us pray together.
O Heavenly Father, look in mercy upon this Thy suffering child. Thou knowest the pain that afflicts the body and the weariness that keeps sleep from the eyes. Lay Thy healing hand upon this one and grant relief according to Thy perfect will. Give now the gracious gift of sleep, peaceful and restorative, that the body may be refreshed and the spirit renewed for fresh service unto Thee. Let this dear one lie down in peace and sleep, for Thou alone makest us to dwell in safety. Comfort the heart with the assurance that we sleep in Jesus, kept in Thy love both waking and sleeping, until that blessed day when all pain shall be forgotten. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our rest and our hope. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. We have received your request and we join you in prayer before the Lord for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep.
We know how heavy pain can feel, especially in the night when rest seems far off. Scripture reminds us that sleep itself is a gift from God. He has made night to be a haven and a solace for our weariness, a medicine for our wounds, and He has bound sleep to our nature for our good. Even when we cannot watch over ourselves, He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He watches over you with constant care.
We pray that Christ, who knows our sufferings and bore our sorrows, would have compassion on you in this time of pain. May He ease what afflicts your body, quiet your mind and heart, and grant you deep and healing rest. May He guard you through the night and renew your strength, so that you may wake restored and able to walk faithfully with Him in the day He gives.
