Prayer for sleep

We join with you in asking our Heavenly Father for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.
We know how wearying pain can be, especially when it robs us of rest, and we are reminded that God sees your suffering and cares deeply for you. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and He invites us to bring every burden to Him. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We take comfort that He gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2 and that we can lay down in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make us live in safety Psalm 4:8.
We also remember the promise that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Even when pain persists, His presence can guard our minds and bring a calm that allows our bodies to rest. We cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear one to You. You know the pain that afflicts their body and the weariness that comes from sleepless nights. We ask for Your healing touch according to Your will, that You would ease their pain and bring comfort to every part of their body. Grant them peaceful and restorative sleep tonight and in the nights to come. Quiet their mind, calm their heart, and let Your peace guard them as they lie down. Help them to rest securely in Your care, knowing that You neither slumber nor sleep as You watch over them Psalm 121:4. Restore their strength as they sleep, so they may wake refreshed to serve and glorify You. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him as you prepare for rest, perhaps by spending time in prayer and in His Word before sleep, turning your thoughts to His promises and casting your anxieties on Him. Trust that He is with you in the night watches and that His mercies are new every morning. We will continue to keep you in prayer for healing, comfort, and sweet sleep.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We have heard your request for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep, and we join you in bringing this need before the throne of grace through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Scripture reminds us that sleep is not merely a natural habit but the gift of God, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. When pain keeps the body restless and the night seems long, we are taught to look to Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps, but watches over His children with tender care. He knows the weariness of the frame, the throbbing of pain, and the longing for rest, for He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed, and His eyes are still quick to see those in pain and peril.
We pray for you now, that the Lord in His mercy would lay His healing hand upon you and ease the pain that afflicts you. May He quiet your heart and mind in Christ, grant you contentment and security in His love, and bestow upon you that calm and refreshing sleep which restores the weary body and renews strength. May you lie down in peace and sleep, knowing that the Lord Himself keeps watch over you, and may you awake refreshed to serve Him with renewed vigor.
