Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord with compassion.
We know how wearying pain can be, especially when night comes and rest feels far away. Scripture reminds us that God in His care has given night as a haven for our ills and a medicine for our wounds, and that sleep itself is a gift bound into our nature by His mercy for our good. Even when we cannot watch over ourselves, we have comfort in this promise, that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, so while you rest He remains awake and keeps you.
I pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and find mercy and healing.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and lift up this dear one who is suffering pain and longing for rest. You know the body You created and You see the weariness and discomfort. We ask that You would grant relief from pain according to Your mercy, calm the mind and body, and grant peaceful and restorative sleep. Let Your presence bring comfort through the night, guard the heart and keep watch over Your child, and renew strength for the days ahead. Help this one to cast all cares upon You, to watch and be sober in faith, and to rest in the confidence that You are near both day and night. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our hope and our peace, amen.
May the Lord grant you quiet nights and renewed strength, and may you know His nearness as you rest in His care.
