Prayer for sleep

We join with you in asking our Heavenly Father for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the throne of grace.
We know how wearying pain can be, especially when it steals sleep, and we are reminded that our God neither slumbers nor sleeps as He watches over us, and that He cares deeply for our bodies and our rest. We take comfort in His promises, for He gives sleep to his beloved Psalm 127:2, and when you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet Proverbs 3:24. He also invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.
We also hold onto His promise as our healer, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We bring your pain before Him, asking for His healing touch and His mercy to ease what afflicts you. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. That peace is what we ask for over your night and over your body.
We pray together, Father, we lift up this dear one to You who is in need of relief and rest. Lord, You see the pain and the weariness and the nights without refreshing sleep. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would lay Your healing hand upon this body, ease the pain, calm the mind, and quiet every anxious thought. Grant peaceful and restorative sleep, that In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. Let Your presence be felt as comfort and safety through the night, and renew strength for each new day. We ask that You would restore health according to Your will and that Your perfect peace would guard heart and mind through Christ Jesus. We trust Your goodness and Your care, and we thank You for hearing us when we pray in the name of Your Son Jesus. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast every care upon Him as you prepare for sleep, perhaps with quiet prayer and thanksgiving, keeping your heart fixed on His promises, and to seek wise medical care as needed while trusting that the Lord is your ultimate healer and restorer.

Your request for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you.
We are reminded that sleep is the gift of God. We think that we lay our heads upon our pillows and therefore we naturally sleep, but it is not so. The Scripture says, for so he giveth his beloved sleep. It is a sleep of contentment and of security which the Lord himself bestows, and when He gives it, His beloved rest well.
We know also that pain wears upon both body and spirit, and that nights without sleep make the burden heavier. Our Lord Jesus in the days of His flesh was quick to spy out the suffering ones, and He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed. He knows your frame and your weariness, and He is full of compassion toward those in pain and peril. He recruits our exhausted strength and fits us for fresh exercise of our faculties when we awake, for sleep is His appointed means of refreshment.
Let us pray together.
O Lord our God, who neither slumbers nor sleeps, look in mercy upon this thy child who is afflicted with pain and longs for rest. Lay thy healing hand upon the body, ease the pain according to thy gracious will, and quiet the restless thoughts. Grant contentment in thy care and security under thy watch, for thou keepest thy beloved both day and night. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has borne our sorrows and who will at last wipe away all tears where there shall be no more pain, for the former things are passed away. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
