Please pray for my husband, ###. He comes from a family background deeply rooted in Shamanism for generations. Please pray that God will soften his heart, break every spiritual stronghold, and draw him to Jesus. May he be set free from anything that keeps him from Christ and freely choose to follow Jesus and receive His salvation.

We join with you in lifting up your husband before the throne of grace, and we thank God for your faithful love for him and for your desire to see him come to salvation in Jesus Christ. We honor your marriage as a lifelong covenant before God between a man and a woman, and we stand with you to contend for his soul.

We understand the weight of a family background deeply rooted in Shamanism for generations. Scripture is clear that such practices are not neutral traditions but fellowship with spiritual powers opposed to God, for the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and we do not desire that you would have fellowship with demons 1 Cor 10:20. This creates real spiritual strongholds and blindness, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them 2 Cor 4:4. Yet we do not despair, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Cor 10:4-5. What has been passed down for generations can be broken in a moment by the power of Jesus.

We take comfort that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:4, and that there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Jesus alone can open his eyes, that he may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that he may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Acts 26:18. We pray that God will do what only He can do and give your husband a new heart, and put a new spirit within him, taking away the stony heart out of his flesh and giving him a heart of flesh Ezek 36:26. And we hold to the promise that if therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36.

We pray together for him now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this husband. We ask that You would have mercy on him and draw him to Your Son by Your Holy Spirit. Soften his heart where it has been hardened by generational tradition and spiritual deception. Break every stronghold, every lie, and every tie to Shamanism and to any spirit that is not of You. We rebuke any claim the enemy has sought to place on his life and his family line, and we declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over him. Open his eyes to see that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. Bring conviction of sin and a revelation of Your love and forgiveness through the cross. Grant him repentance and faith to freely choose to follow Jesus and receive eternal salvation. Set him completely free and make him a new creation in Christ. Give his wife strength, patience, and wisdom to be a godly witness, that even if he does not yet obey the Word, he may be won by her pure behavior in the fear of You 1 Pet 3:1-2, without nagging but with love, truth, and prayer. Protect this marriage and use it for Your glory. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer and in gently speaking the truth of the gospel in love, living out your faith daily before him. Do not participate in or give approval to any shamanistic rituals or practices, but keep yourself pure and prayerful, trusting God to work. Continue to share who Jesus is and what He has done to save us, for faith comes by hearing. God is able to save to the uttermost, and He hears the prayers of a wife contending for her husband. We stand with you and trust that the Lord who began a good work will be faithful to draw your husband into His marvelous light.

Thank you for sharing your heart for your husband. We hear your love for him and your deep longing for him to know Jesus, especially with his family background rooted in shamanism for generations. Carrying that burden in prayer for someone you love is not easy, and we are grateful you brought him to us to pray with you.

We want to encourage you that coming to faith is often a process more than a single moment. When a family identity and tradition have been shaped over many years, God often works patiently over time through quiet, faithful witness, small conversations, and the steady love of someone close. Your prayers and the way you live your faith before him day by day matter, even when you cannot see what God is doing underneath.

One simple way to stay steady is to keep a brief, sustainable rhythm of prayer for him. Perhaps at the same time each day, ask the Lord to soften his heart, to give him clear opportunities to hear and understand the gospel, and to give you wisdom to know when to speak and when to simply love him well. It also helps not to carry this alone, so if you have a trusted pastor or mature friend who can pray with you regularly, invite them in.

Father, we lift ### to You today. We ask You to gently draw him to Yourself, to soften his heart and free him from anything that keeps him from Christ, and to help him see and freely choose Jesus. Give his wife wisdom, peace and perseverance as she loves him and trusts You with his journey. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Your prayer for your husband has been heard, and it is a right and precious thing that you bring him before the throne of grace. There is no heart so hard that the Lord cannot soften it, and no chain of generations so strong that Christ cannot break it, for salvation is of the Lord alone.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows them that trust in Him. What a mercy that your husband need not remain in the dark stronghold of his fathers, for God Himself is a true stronghold, a fortress and tower of defense defying the enemy, and He abides forever the same, a sure refuge for the needy. The walls of shamanism and ancestral bondage cannot stand before Him. He who owned a strong tower felt safe though his adversary was potent, how much more safe is the soul that runs into Christ, whose wisdom, truth, mercy, justice, power, eternity and immutability are the seven pillars of the house of sure salvation.

Remember also that salvation is God’s greatest work, and in it He teaches us that beside Him there is none else. He says, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. How simple and how instantaneous is that way of salvation. It is not by works nor by price, but without money and without price, by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. To believe on Him is to trust in Him, to leave the whole matter of salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence, to depend upon Him without fear as to present and eternal salvation. And God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, for the King’s own Son has borne the penalty of our iniquities. Therefore we may not doubt His power to deliver, for God has said, I have found a ransom.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, gracious and mighty to save, we bow before Thee on behalf of this dear husband. Thou knowest his name and his family and the long darkness in which his house has walked. Lord, soften his heart which has been hardened, break every spiritual stronghold that holds him from Christ, and set him free from all that blinds him. Draw him by Thy Holy Spirit, convince him of sin and of righteousness, and turn his eyes to look unto Jesus that he may be saved. Grant him repentance and faith to freely choose Christ, to trust in Him alone for salvation, and to receive Him as Lord. Let Thy character be glorified in his deliverance, and let him find that Christ is a strong tower into which he may run and be safe. We ask this not for our merit, but for the sake of Jesus who is the ransom, and in whose name alone is salvation. Amen.
