Prayer for salvation

We thank you for sharing this burden for the lost and we join with you in praying for the salvation of these five precious souls you have laid before the Lord. It encourages us to see your heart for their eternal welfare, for we know that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9.
We notice your request asks for salvation but does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that salvation comes and that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life, John 3:16. That promise is received when we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, Romans 10:9. It is by calling on the name of Jesus Christ that these loved ones can be forgiven, made new, and reconciled to God.
So we pray together in Jesus name, Father in heaven, we lift up these five dear ones before your throne of grace. You know each of them by name, you see their hearts and their lives, and you love them more than we do. We ask that you would have mercy upon them and draw them to your Son. Send your Holy Spirit to convict them of sin and to reveal to them their need for a Savior, soften their hearts where there has been hardness or indifference, and remove any blindness that keeps them from seeing the truth of the gospel. Open their eyes to understand that they are sinners in need of grace and that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to pay for their sins. Grant them repentance and faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and to confess Him as Lord. We pray that you would place believers in their paths who will speak the truth in love, and that you would give us and all who know them boldness and wisdom to share the good news. We ask that you would deliver them from darkness and transfer them into the kingdom of your beloved Son, giving them a new heart and putting a new spirit within them. May they become new creations in Christ and walk in newness of life for your glory.
We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer and in loving witness toward them, trusting the Lord's perfect timing and patient mercy. Continue to speak the gospel when God gives opportunity, to live as an example of Christ's love, and to intercede daily that God will complete the good work He has begun. We trust with you that God hears our prayers when we ask according to His will, and His will is that none should perish. We rest in His faithfulness together with you, in Jesus name, amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We are grateful you shared the names of these five people on your heart. It means a lot that you are carrying them in prayer and inviting others to join you. We are standing with you in this.
Loving people who do not yet know Jesus can feel heavy at times, especially when we long to see change and cannot make it happen ourselves. We take comfort that God hears every prayer offered in Jesus name and that He is the one who works in hearts. Our part is to keep bringing them to Him faithfully and to keep loving them well where we are.
One simple way we have found helpful is to keep their names somewhere you will see them each day and lift them briefly to the Lord as you go about your day, asking Him to draw each one to Himself in His timing and to give you natural opportunities to reflect His grace to them.
Father, we lift these five to You now. You know each by name and You love them more than we do. We ask that You would draw them to Yourself through Jesus Christ, open their eyes to Your mercy, and bring people and moments into their lives that point them toward You. Give our friend peace as they wait and hope, and help them to rest in Your goodness and Your will. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

It is a precious and Christlike work you have done in laying these five souls upon your heart and bringing them before the throne of grace. We esteem it a great honor to agonize with you in prayer to God for them.
Be greatly encouraged in this, for intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for it is the very character of the prayer of Christ, who cried, Father, keep them from the evil. And it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought. It has stayed plagues and raised the dead, and as to how many souls it has instrumentally saved, eternity itself shall reveal. There is nothing which prayer in the name of Jesus cannot do when it is offered in faith, with humble boldness and intensity of desire.
We will join our supplications with yours and beseech the Lord for these five whom you have named. Our prayer is that the God of all grace will have mercy upon them and bring each one to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, who loved us and gave Himself for us. May the Lord open their eyes to see their sin and their need, soften their hearts to receive His Word, and grant them repentance and living faith, that they may turn from the error of their ways and trust wholly in the finished work of Christ upon the cross. May He keep His hand upon them and not suffer them to find rest till they find it in Him.

Cry still that handy and prevalent prayer, Lord, help them, for He never finally refuses such pleading. May the God of peace be with you and answer according to His abundant mercy, and may you yet live to rejoice to see these dear ones born again to a living hope. Amen.
