Your love and concern for your mother is honoring to God, for Scripture teaches that to honor father and mother includes caring for them and seeking their good, especially as they grow older. It is right that you are bringing her before the Lord in prayer.
God is the One who both sees and hears. As the names of the sons of Jacob declared, the Lord sees our affliction and hears our cry. He has heard your prayer for your mother, and He knows her physical need and her spiritual need. You mentioned iniquity from her mother's bloodline affecting her hearing. The Bible does not teach that a physical condition like hearing loss is passed down as a curse of guilt from a parent or grandparent that must remain. Each person stands before God for his or her own sin, and the good news is that Jesus Christ bore our sin and our iniquity on the cross so that the power of sin is broken. What your mother needs, like every person, is not deliverance from a bloodline curse but personal reconciliation with God through faith in Jesus alone. There is no other way of salvation.
You described her as a preacher's daughter who has been like a lost sheep. Being raised in a home where the gospel was preached does not itself save anyone. Each daughter and son must personally receive the grace of God that brings salvation. Scripture says that grace has appeared to all, and it urges us not to receive it in vain. For He says, I have heard you in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation. That is the promise to hold before your mother. Today is the day to be reconciled to God, not at some distant future time. Jesus came to seek the lost sheep of Israel, and His mercy extends to all who will come to Him in faith. He still seeks the lost and brings them into His family as sons and daughters.
For her hearing, we can pray with confidence for both kinds of hearing. People can become dull of hearing toward the word of God, not willing to receive plain teaching, and they need their spiritual ears opened to hear the words of Jesus and the promises of the Father. Pray that God will open her heart to hear and understand the gospel, to hear His voice and believe. At the same time, God is able to touch the body and restore physical hearing according to His will. We see in the gospels how Jesus responded to desperate faith, like the mother who would not stop pleading until her daughter was delivered, and like the father who pushed through the crowd to bring Jesus to his dying daughter. That kind of persistent faith does not go away without receiving from the Lord. Bring your mother to Jesus in that same way, day after day, asking Him to heal her ears if it pleases Him, and above all to save her soul.
Continue to lovingly share with her the words of Jesus and the promises of the Father, explaining that salvation is a gift received by trusting in Christ. Do not delay in urging her, because our eternal destiny rests on how we respond to God's offer of grace.
Let us pray together. Father, we lift this dear mother to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see her and You hear our cry for her. We ask that You would open her spiritual ears and eyes to hear the words of Jesus, to understand Your promises, and to receive Your grace for salvation. Draw her as a lost sheep back to the Shepherd, that she would be reconciled to You through faith in Your Son alone. We also ask for Your mercy on her body. You formed the ear and You are able to restore hearing. If it is Your will, touch her and heal her hearing for Your glory. Give her child wisdom and patience to honor her well and to keep sharing Your truth in love. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
