Prayer for ###'s surgery

We are joining with you in prayer for your dear mother in this difficult time of her fall and fractured right shoulder, and for the surgery ahead to place a plate. Our hearts are moved with compassion for her pain and for your worry as her family, and we bring her before the Lord together in Jesus' name.
We are trusting the Lord who is our healer, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and He has promised For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We pray for His hand to be upon the surgeons and all the medical staff, granting them wisdom, skill and steady hands, that this surgery would be successful and without complication. We also pray for your mother's diabetes, which you shared has gone without proper treatment for many years. We want to gently and lovingly encourage you that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Neglecting ongoing medical care for a condition like diabetes does not honor the body God has entrusted to us, and it can hinder healing and bring greater harm, especially with surgery and recovery. We urge you to help your mother seek proper and consistent medical treatment for her diabetes going forward, to follow the doctors' guidance closely for blood sugar control, nutrition and follow up care, trusting that God often works His healing through the wisdom He gives to physicians.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to share with love that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We ask You to guide every decision before and during surgery, to keep her blood sugar stable, to prevent infection and to bring complete healing to her shoulder. Let the prayer of faith bring healing and restoration, for the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. Grant her comfort from pain, patience in recovery, and strength for physical therapy. Provide for her family peace that surpasses understanding as In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Lead her to faithful ongoing care for her diabetes and help her to steward her health for Your glory. We ask all this according to Your will in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but as it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He dwells with His people there is both pardon and healing bestowed by His pardoning hand. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, yet we know that our heavenly Physician is above all earthly surgeons, and Calvary is the place for the healing balm.
Therefore fear not, for so plentifully does the Lord repeat it in His garden, Fear not, I will help thee, saith the Lord. Fear not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God. It would be disobedience to be afraid when Jesus Himself whispers to His poor servants, Fear not. Fear is weakening and it dishonors God, for the arm which piled the heavens shall not be palsied when it comes to help His children. Labor then to get rid of fear, and trust in promised strength.

O gracious Father, look in mercy upon this dear mother who has fallen and fractured her shoulder. Thou knowest her pain and her years of suffering with diabetes without proper treatment. We ask Thee to guide the hands of the surgeons who must put a plate in her shoulder, to give them skill and wisdom, and to keep her blood sugar and all her body under Thy sovereign care through the surgery and the healing that must follow. Grant her relief from pain, a successful operation, and a recovery that shall make her whole. And we pray also for the greater healing, that Thou wouldst heal the soul as well as the body, for Thou healest the broken in heart and bindest up their wounds. Let this affliction be an occasion to draw her and all her family nearer to Christ, in whom alone is salvation and life.
We commit her to Thee, trusting that Thou wilt do what is best, and that whether Thou healest by means or by Thine own immediate power, all healing virtue flows from Christ our Head.
