Prayer for results

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. I hear how tired you are, and how painful it was to wait a year after not qualifying, and how much you love your little sister and do not want her to go through that same disappointment. It is a beautiful thing that you are turning your own hurt into prayer for her.

God sees both of you. Scripture shows again and again that He sees sisters and families with tender care, that He protects and provides, and that He is able to keep and guide those who trust Him. He knows the desire you have for your sister to be placed in a good and affordable college, and He knows the concerns your family carries as you make decisions about admission.

I am praying with you that the Lord will be merciful in these counselling results, that if it is His will her name will appear and a place will be opened for her in a suitable college within your family's means. I am praying that He will give your family wisdom and unity as you decide about her admission, and that He will provide what is needed so that she will not have to sit out a year. Above all I am praying that you and your sister and your whole family will know His peace while you wait, and will trust His good purpose whatever the outcome.

The Bible invites us to bring every anxiety to God in prayer, with thanksgiving, and promises that His peace will guard our hearts in Christ Jesus. He works all things together for good for those who love Him, even when we cannot see the way forward. Your waiting last year was not wasted in His eyes, and He can use even disappointment to draw you closer to Him and to deepen your compassion for others, as you are showing now.

May the Lord lift your weariness and renew your strength as you wait on Him. May He comfort your heart, encourage your sister, and guide your family to the right decision. May He open the door that is best for her future and for His glory, and give you all grace to trust Him.

Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one and this little sister before You. You know the tiredness and the disappointment of the past, and You know the hope for this result. I ask that You would show kindness and provide a place for her in a good college that the family can afford. Give wisdom to the family as they consider admission, provide for every need, and let Your will be done. Fill this home with Your peace, and help them to rest in Your love and care, knowing that You hear and that You are faithful. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up your little sister before the Lord and the counselling results that were to come out the day after you wrote. We prayed that her name would appear on the results, that she would be placed in a good college that is affordable for your family, and that your family would be united in the decision to give her admission. We understand your tired heart and your love for her, and how you do not want her to have to sit out for a year as you had to do. We know how heavy that waiting can feel and we have asked God to give you both peace and provision as we trust in His care for you, as it says in Philippians 4:6.

If your request was answered and your sister saw a successful result with her name on the list and received a place in a suitable college, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered or you are still waiting for direction regarding the college and family decision, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray in Jesus Name for favor and guidance for your sister and for comfort and strength for you while you wait. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
