Beloved of All
Your prayer for your daughter is heard, and your trust in Jesus in this anxious waiting is precious. The Lord sees your love for her and your desire for her to be healed, and He invites you to bring every fear about these test results to Him.
Scripture teaches that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and that God has set blood apart as sacred because it represents life itself. Under the old covenant blood was given on the altar to make atonement for the soul, which is why God called His people to treat even the blood of animals with deep reverence. How much more should we reverence the blood of Jesus Christ. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin, and Jesus entered heaven itself by His own blood, once for all, having obtained eternal redemption for us. We do not come to God apart from that sacrifice. It is His blood that makes atonement and opens the way.
Because of that finished work we have access through His blood to the throne of grace. We can come boldly, not on our own merit, but wholly leaning on Jesus name and on His blood and righteousness, knowing He has paid the price for us and made a way home to the Father. That access is marked by blood, but it leads us into peace with God, where we can lay our burdens down.
The Gospels show how tender Jesus is toward daughters and toward those who suffer with issues of blood. One father came pleading that his little daughter was at the point of death, asking Jesus only to lay His hand on her that she might be healed. On the way, a woman who had suffered for years with bleeding touched Him in faith and immediately felt in her body that she was healed, and Jesus said to her, daughter, your faith has made you whole, go in peace. He then went on to that father's house and brought life where death had already come. He knows the weakness of the body, He knows the fear that comes while waiting, and He responds to faith that reaches out to Him.
So we pray with you now for favor in these results, whatever they show. We ask the Lord Jesus to guide the doctors and nurses who care for your daughter, to give them wisdom and accuracy in reading the tests and in choosing the right treatment, and to work for her healing in a way that brings strength to her body quickly. We also ask Him to guard your heart with His peace as you wait, reminding you that your hope is built on nothing less than what Jesus has already done for you.
Father, we thank You for the life You have placed in this daughter and for the sacredness of that life. We thank You for the blood of Jesus that gives us forgiveness and bold access to Your presence. We bring this child before You now and ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon her. Lead those who treat her, give clarity and wisdom in every decision, and let the outcome display Your kindness and care. Help this parent to rest in You, trusting that You are near and that You hear. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer, Amen.
