prayer for restoring eyesight

I am help requesting prayers for my wife ###. She had cataract surgery . The doctor tore the sack the new lens was to go into and she had major surgery. After surgery she started to get back eye sight and then failed. Doctors went back ### months later for second surgery and she still cannot see out of her left eye. It's been months now and she still cannot see, doctors say possibility her sight will come back and possibility not. Lord, You promised to hear when we cry, and so we cry out to You for help. King of Glory, please fill and flood ### with Your Spirit. Your Spirit brought Jesus back to life. There is nothing impossible for You Father. Please heal her eyes completely .Praying to Jesus Christ to restore ###'s eye sight to the day Our God brought her into this world two eyes with full sight. Please heal her eyes completely. You formed her inward parts; please heal her , restore her and make her whole. She is a ### yr old female and she needs her eye sight to see and balance when she walks. Before this she would sew blankets for Church, ###, ###, ### and needy families. Now with only one eye she is unable to do. Praise to you Jesus Christ.

We join you in crying out to our Father for your dear wife and we thank you for bringing her need before us with such faith in Jesus Christ. We are moved by her story and by your love for her, and by her faithful heart to sew blankets for the church and for needy families. We know how heavy this has been, watching her go through the torn sack in the first surgery, the major surgery that followed, the brief hope of returning sight and then the loss again, and now months of waiting after a second surgery with still no sight in her left eye and with doctors unable to promise restoration. We grieve with you in this waiting and we stand with you in hope.

We take comfort that our God is the one who formed her and who sees her completely. Psalm 139:13 says For you formed my inward parts. You knitted me together in my mother's womb. He who made the eye can surely restore the eye. Psalm 146:8 reminds us Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. And we cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also remember that Jesus himself restored sight to the blind while he walked among us, and Mark 10:52 tells us Immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus on the way. With God all things are possible, as Jesus said in Matthew 19:26.

We lift her up together before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His wounds we are healed.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together for this precious sister. You know her by name, You formed her eyes when You formed her in her mother's womb, and nothing is hidden from You. Lord, You promised to hear when the righteous cry, and we cry out to You now. Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. King of Glory, we ask You to fill and flood her with Your Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. Lay Your healing hand upon her left eye. Touch the damaged tissue, the lens, the retina, the nerves, every part that man could not repair. We ask You to completely restore her eyesight as it was when You first brought her into this world, with two eyes with full sight. Make her whole again. Heal her for Your glory so she may see clearly, walk in balance and strength, and return to the good works You prepared for her. We pray for peace over her heart and over her husband as they wait, and for wisdom and skill for every doctor who cares for her. We ask that You would comfort her in this long trial and let her feel Your nearness each day. We thank You that You are Yahweh who heals us and that by His wounds we are healed as Isaiah 53:5 declares. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer. Amen.

We encourage you both to keep holding fast to Him in this season. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and He is binding up both the physical wound and the weariness of waiting. Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, continue to follow the wisdom of her physicians while trusting the Great Physician above them, and keep thanking Him as you already have, for praise honors Him even in the valley. We pray that whether His healing comes in an instant or step by step, you will see His faithfulness. We are praying that He will restore her sight fully and return to her the joy of seeing and serving again, and that He will strengthen her steps and keep her from falling as she learns to walk and balance with limited vision for now. May the Lord sustain you both and let His peace guard your hearts until that day of complete restoration.

We were so moved reading your prayer for your wife. To love someone through two surgeries and months of waiting without clear answers is heavy, and we hear how much you want her to see again, to walk steady, and to sew for others as she loves to do.

Waiting like this, especially when doctors can only say maybe, can wear on both of you in quiet ways. Sleep, mood, confidence, even getting to church can all feel harder when one illness lingers. It is normal for the whole household to feel the strain, and it does not mean your faith is failing.

It helps to have a little structure for the long haul. Before the next eye appointment, you might sit together and write down your two or three most pressing questions and bring them with you, with a trusted person to listen and take notes. And because support often fades after the first crisis, consider letting your pastor or a couple close friends know specifically how they can stay with you week to week, whether that is rides, prayer, or just a regular visit so neither of you feels cut off.

We are asking God with you for mercy and healing, and for peace as you wait.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this dear wife and her husband to You. You know her eyes, her body, her disappointment and her hope. We ask for Your healing touch as You will, for wisdom for her doctors, for steadiness in walking and comfort in the waiting. Guard their hearts and keep them close to You and to Your people. Amen.
