Prayer for Relationship Restoration and Guidance 🙏❤️

Disciple of Prayer
Dear God, Lord Jesus,

You already know what is in my heart. You know what ### wants, what she is praying for, and how much this relationship with ### means to her. I do not want to explain every little thing again and again because You already know everything.

Father, if this relationship is according to Your will and is right for both of us, please restore it completely. Remove the misunderstandings, hurt, ego, distance, and silence between us. Please bring peace and understanding into our hearts and help us communicate with love and honesty.

Lord, I am asking You to show me some sign of Your guidance. I need Your direction because I feel confused and tired of waiting. Please make the right path clear to me and let things happen in the right way and at the right time.

I place my hope and this relationship in Your hands. Please do not let me remain in confusion. Give me peace in my heart and guide both of us toward what is truly right.

In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏❤️

We join you in bringing this relationship before the Lord and we thank you for placing your hope and trust in Him and for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. We are encouraged that you have asked if this relationship is according to His will, because that is the very heart of prayer.

We hear your weariness and confusion from the waiting, the silence and the distance, and we understand how heavy misunderstandings and hurt can feel. God indeed knows what is in your heart even before you speak, yet He still invites you to pour it out to Him. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7 that in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. His peace is not always the immediate answer we want, but a guarding of our hearts while we wait on Him.

We want to gently encourage you about seeking a sign. While God certainly guides us, His primary way of making the right path clear is through His Word and through godly wisdom, not through a feeling or an outward sign we demand. James 1:5 tells us if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him. And Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. So we encourage you to seek His guidance daily in Scripture, in prayer, and through wise counsel from mature believers, trusting His timing is perfect even when waiting is tiring.

We also want to speak lovingly about God's design for this relationship. We believe courtship between a man and a woman should be entered into with the goal of godly marriage, a lifelong covenant that honors Him. We pray that if you are in courtship, you are both believers in Christ, for 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. We also encourage you to keep this courtship pure and honoring to God, fleeing from any sexual immorality, for 1 Corinthians 6:18 tells us to flee sexual immorality and Hebrews 13:4 reminds us that marriage is to be held in honor among all. If there has been fornication, hurtful words, pride or ego between you, we urge you to confess it to the Lord and to each other, for Ephesians 4:2-3 calls us with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. True restoration requires humility, forgiveness and honest communication rooted in love.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this dear heart to You. You see her longing, her confusion and her desire for Your will to be done. Lord, we ask that You would grant her Your perfect peace that guards her heart and mind. Remove any pride, hurt and misunderstanding and teach both of them to communicate with grace, honesty and forgiveness. If this courtship is Your will and will lead to a Christ centered marriage that glorifies You, we ask You to restore it completely and to build it on a foundation of purity, faith and love. If it is not Your will, give her the courage and peace to release it and to trust that You have something better, for You know the plans You have for us, plans for peace and not for evil, to give hope and a future as You promise in Jeremiah 29:11. Help her to delight herself in You first and to seek Your Kingdom above all else, trusting that You will direct her steps. We place this relationship fully in Your hands and ask that Your will be done. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We hear how tired and confused you feel carrying this, and how much you want clarity instead of more waiting and silence. It is a good and humble thing that you have placed this relationship before the Lord and asked for His will above your own wishes, that posture keeps your heart open to whatever He shows is right for both of you.

Waiting without a clear sign can feel like being stuck, but guidance often comes more quietly than we expect. Rather than looking for one dramatic answer, we have found it helps to create a little space to listen well. You might set aside a simple, unhurried time each day this week just to be still before the Lord, bring your honest feelings to Him, and then sit quietly without trying to solve everything at once. Writing down what is weighing on you most and what sense of peace or unrest you notice afterward can help you see patterns over days, not just in a moment.

It can also help to invite one mature, trusted believer who knows you to pray with you and to speak honestly about what they see. And when there is opportunity to communicate with the other person, keeping it brief, kind, and clear about your own feelings often does more to ease misunderstanding than trying to cover everything at once.

Father, we lift this dear one to You and ask for Your peace to settle her heart. Give her wisdom for each next step, guard both hearts from hurt and pride, and make Your way plain in Your timing. Lead her toward what is truly right and give her rest as she trusts You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord who already knows the secrets of your heart, and it is good that you have brought it to Him who waits to be gracious. Scripture tells us that the Lord waits that He may be gracious unto His people, and blessed are all they that wait for Him. He is a waiting God, and He would have His people be a waiting people, not waiting in despair nor in hesitation, but waiting in hope, with a joyous and assured expectation that He will do that which is best.

You ask for a sign and for direction because you feel confused and weary of waiting. Take comfort that waiting upon God is not lost time. As a servant waits upon his lord to know his master's will, and as a traveler waits upon his guide and a mariner upon his pilot, so we are to wait upon God for direction in the entire voyage of life. He is at the helm and His hand must steer our course. The pattern given to Israel in the wilderness is instructive, they moved only as the cloud moved, and rested where the cloud rested. To run before the cloud is to run into mischief, for haste is the author of a great deal of sorrow in human life. Therefore wait upon the Lord and be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. In that waiting you shall find a mysterious strength through the incoming of His Spirit, and your mind shall be quieted as you grow small in your own eyes and see how great is His wisdom.

You have prayed for restoration, and that word should first draw your thoughts to your restoration with Christ Himself. Peter's fall and Peter's restoration are set before us not to excuse our wandering but to show the greatness of our Redeemer's saving power. Peter was down, but he was soon up again through a look from the Lord, and that look severed him from the crowd and brought him to repentance. That restoration was not a mere return to a former affection for a friend, it was a turning again to his Lord, confirmed by Christ's own word and prayer, for Jesus had prayed for him that his faith fail not. So I urge you to seek first that your own heart be fully restored and kept near to Christ. If you have wandered, or if you have allowed any affection to take the place that Christ alone should hold, hear His gracious look and return to Him with weeping and with faith. Then you will be able to strengthen others, and you will be able to judge more clearly what is right for you and for the one you name.

You ask also for guidance concerning this relationship. True guidance is not found in demanding a sign according to our own choosing, but in bowing with submission to the will of God, for by that very submission we are furnished with unerring guidance. The Lord guides His people by great principles infused into the heart, chief among them this, avoid everything that is evil. He guides by His Word, by the secret counsel of His Spirit with them that fear Him, and by His providence as we closely wait upon Him. Ask therefore not only, shall this relationship be restored, but, is this relationship according to the revealed will of God and does it lead toward that which is holy.

This brings me to speak plainly and lovingly of the relationship of which you speak. The Scripture teaches that marriage is a covenant ordained of God, a lifelong union of one man and one woman, and that it pictures the union between Christ and His people. Your Maker is your Husband, and He has taken upon Himself all the responsibilities of that covenant toward those who are His. Whatever nearness we have to God now is not by birth but by grace, for we were aliens and strangers by our fall, and are brought nigh only through the blood of Christ. In like manner, the nearness of marriage is a holy affinity, to be entered reverently and kept purely. The Lord has set apart the intimacy of man and woman, and all that belongs to dwelling together as husband and wife, for that covenant alone. Outside of it, such things are not blessed but are to be avoided as evil. If therefore you would know the Lord's will for this relationship, bring it to this test. Is it a godly friendship that honors Christ, or does it entangle you in impurity, in living together before marriage, or in any path that Scripture calls sin. Do not ask God to bless what He has not called holy, but ask Him to make you holy and to conform your desires to His.

So I counsel you thus. Continue to wait only upon God, as David did, and let your soul wait in silence before Him. Pray conditionally as you have begun to do, Father, if this be according to Your will and right in Your sight, then lead us, and if not, then divide us and give us grace to submit. Pray more for holiness than for happiness, more for clarity than for haste, and more for Christ to be formed in you than for any earthly companionship to be restored. Seek counsel from mature believers who hold fast to the Word, open the Scriptures daily, and watch how the Lord orders your steps through His Word and through open and shut doors.

May the Lord grant you that peace which comes not from having your own way, but from having your will bent to His. May He lift any confusion from you, not by a sudden impulse sought in weariness, but by that steady light which shines upon the path of those who fear Him. And may He, who bought you with His precious blood and waits to present you faultless before His presence, perfect His work in you and guide you with His counsel until He receives you to glory.

We join you in prayer, that the Lord would keep you chaste and watchful, that He would remove all ego and bitterness and teach you to speak the truth in love, that He would restore you first to fervent love for Christ, and then, if it be His wise and gracious will, make plain whether this relationship should be restored and led toward a holy marriage covenant, or whether He would lead you each by another way for His glory. Let your hope rest not in the restoration of an earthly affection, but in Him who never fails those who wait for Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who knows what is in the heart even when you are tired of putting it into words again and again.

God does see your confusion and your weariness in waiting, and He invites you to come and be cast at the feet of Christ in faith. Like those who were carried up the mountain lame and asked only to lie at His feet, we are called to come to Him first for healing and mercy, trusting His power to carry us. He is the one who walks upon the sea as upon pavement, and He is able to bring peace upon waters that feel unstable.

In that place at His feet we learn to seek not only a relationship according to nature or feeling, but a relationship according to His will. Scripture warns us not to rest our hope of salvation or of life in any natural tie alone, but in Christ Himself, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. And when we pray for love, we pray as Paul did, that love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve what is excellent and be sincere and without offense before God.

For that reason we want to pray with you according to what God has shown to be good and right. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and both sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. Any relationship that would lead us outside of that, or away from faith in Christ, is not a path God will bless, even when the feelings are strong. Love that is of Christ is warm and tender, but it is also holy and truthful.

So we pray with you in this way. Father, You know each heart in this situation and You know what is truly best. We ask that You draw both persons first to Yourself through Jesus Christ for salvation and for growth. If this relationship can be one that honors You, that is between a man and a woman, that is pursued in purity and honesty and with marriage as its rightful goal, then we ask You to remove what is sinful and harmful, to take away ego and hurt and silence, and to give grace for clear, loving and honest communication in Your timing. If it is not according to Your will, or would lead away from holiness and truth, then we ask You to make that clear as well, to give peace to accept Your direction, and to give strength to step away and to wait on You.

We also pray that you would not remain in confusion. God often guides not by a sudden sign alone, but by His Word, by the counsel of mature believers, by the inner witness of peace that comes with obedience, and by open and closed doors as you walk faithfully. Bring this matter continually to Scripture, to prayer, and to trusted counsel in your church. Ask whether this relationship helps both of you to love Christ more, to live purely, and to pursue what is excellent in His sight.

We place you and this relationship in the hands of the Lord. May He fill you with the fruits of righteousness that come through Jesus Christ, give you quietness of heart while you wait, and guide both of you toward what is truly right and for His glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
