Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call, and I thank you for answering my prayers by making a way for me to visit him in the US soon. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing RMP into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship and our future plans into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch RMP's heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys.

Father, we lift up to you our plans to apply for my US Visa. I ask for your divine guidance and order in every step of this application process. Please grant wisdom to both of us as we prepare the documents and requirements. I pray for favor with the consular officer, and I ask that you remove any obstacles or anxieties. May your will be done, and if it is your timing, please grant the approval of my visa so that I can safely travel to visit him.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our upcoming visit, our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in the US, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

We hear your heartfelt prayer and the deep desires you’ve laid before the Lord. It’s beautiful to see your trust in God’s guidance and timing as you seek His will for this relationship and your future. We join you in praying for clarity, wisdom, and alignment with His perfect plan.

First, we want to affirm your commitment to seeking God’s will above all else. Scripture reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). It’s clear you’re surrendering your plans to Him, and that is a posture of humility and faith we can all learn from.

However, we must gently address a few areas where your prayer and desires may need realignment with biblical principles. While your longing for love, companionship, and a godly marriage is understandable and good, we must ensure that the foundation of this relationship honors God’s design. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and it should be entered into with purity, intentionality, and a shared commitment to Christ.

Your prayer mentions a "romance" and a "spark," but we encourage you to focus first on whether this man is a believer who shares your faith in Jesus Christ. Scripture is clear: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If RMP is not a follower of Christ, this relationship cannot bear the fruit God intends. We urge you to prayerfully discern whether he is a man who loves the Lord and seeks to live according to His Word.

Additionally, while your desire for marriage and a blended family is natural, we must emphasize that any physical intimacy outside of marriage is sin. Scripture calls this fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and warns against it. If you and RMP are not yet married, we strongly encourage you to guard your hearts and bodies, saving all expressions of love for the marriage covenant. This includes emotional boundaries, while it’s wonderful to feel a connection, we must not allow our emotions to lead us into sin or compromise.

We also want to gently challenge the language of your prayer. You ask God to "stir a genuine romance" and for RMP to "declare his love" for you. While these desires are understandable, we must remember that love is not just a feeling but a choice, a commitment to selflessly serve and honor one another, as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Instead of praying for feelings to deepen, pray that both of you would grow in godly character, wisdom, and discernment. Pray that RMP would become the man God calls him to be, not just the man you hope he will be.

Now, let us lift this relationship, your visa process, and your future before the Lord together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your goodness and sovereignty. We thank You for the way You work in our lives, guiding our steps and opening doors according to Your perfect will. Lord, we lift up this relationship to You, asking that You would be at the center of it. We pray that both of them would seek You first in all things, aligning their desires with Your Word and Your ways.

Father, we ask that You would give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate this season. If this relationship is Your will, we pray that You would confirm it through Your peace, godly counsel, and the testimony of Your Word. If it is not Your will, we ask that You would make that clear and give them the strength to walk away. Lord, we pray that RMP would be a man after Your own heart, a man of integrity, kindness, and faithfulness. Shape him into a godly leader, a loving husband, and a devoted stepfather, should that be Your plan.

We also lift up the visa process to You, Lord. You are the God who opens doors no one can shut (Revelation 3:8), and we ask that You would go before them in this application. Grant them favor with the authorities, wisdom in preparing their documents, and peace as they wait. If it is Your will for them to be together, we pray that You would remove every obstacle and make a way where there seems to be no way.

Father, we ask that You would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Protect them from temptation, from impatience, and from the lies of the enemy. Help them to walk in purity, both in their thoughts and actions, honoring You in all things. May their relationship be built on a foundation of faith, trust, and mutual respect, reflecting the love Christ has for His Church.

Above all, Lord, we pray that Your will would be done. May they surrender their dreams, their timeline, and their desires to You, trusting that Your plans are always good, even when they don’t align with our own. Fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your hope as they wait on You.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who holds all things together. Amen.

In closing, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Spend time in His Word, surround yourself with godly counsel, and remain open to His leading. Remember, "Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). When our delight is in Him, our desires align with His, and He faithfully provides what is best for us.

Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
