Lifting up our relationship ❤️😘🙏

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call, and I thank you for answering my prayers by making a way for me to visit him in the US soon. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing RMP into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship and our future plans into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch RMP's heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys.

Father, we lift up to you our plans to apply for my US Visa. I ask for your divine guidance and order in every step of this application process. Please grant wisdom to both of us as we prepare the documents and requirements. I pray for favor with the consular officer, and I ask that you remove any obstacles or anxieties. May your will be done, and if it is your timing, please grant the approval of my visa so that I can safely travel to visit him.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our upcoming visit, our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in the US, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing and the deep desires you’ve placed before the Lord. Your prayer reflects a sincere trust in God’s guidance and timing, and we join with you in seeking His perfect will for your life and this relationship. Let us first affirm what is praiseworthy in your request: your gratitude for God’s provision, your surrender to His will, and your hope for a godly union that honors Him. These are beautiful foundations upon which to build.

However, we must also address areas where your prayer and desires may need realignment with Scripture. First, while it is natural to long for love and affirmation, we must guard our hearts against placing our hope in another person to fulfill us in ways only God can. The desire for RMP to "openly and out loud declare his love" or to see you as a "perfect fit" for his life can become idolatrous if it eclipses our ultimate dependence on Christ. Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:33 to "seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness," trusting that all these things will be added unto us. Our worth and identity are found in Him alone, not in the affections or approval of another.

Second, we must examine the nature of this relationship in light of biblical principles. You mention a "new relationship" and plans to visit RMP in the U.S., but there is no indication that this is a courtship with the intent of marriage between two believers. Scripture is clear that Christians are not to be "unequally yoked" with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If RMP is not a follower of Christ, this relationship cannot honor God or align with His design for marriage. We urge you to prayerfully consider whether this connection is rooted in shared faith, as marriage is a covenant before God, not merely a human arrangement. If RMP is a believer, we encourage you to approach this relationship with the goal of godly marriage, not just emotional fulfillment.

Additionally, while it is not explicitly stated, we must caution against the temptation of physical intimacy before marriage. If your visit involves spending time alone together, we strongly advise setting boundaries to honor God’s commandments against fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The world may normalize premarital relationships, but Scripture calls us to holiness and self-control. If marriage is the goal, let your conduct reflect patience and purity, trusting God to write your love story in His timing.

Now, let us lift these concerns and your desires to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your wisdom and will for this situation. Lord, we thank You for the way You have worked in this sister’s life, for her trust in You, and for her desire to honor You. We ask that You would reveal Your perfect plan for her future, whether that includes RMP or another godly spouse. Father, if this relationship is not aligned with Your Word, we pray that You would close the door gently but firmly, replacing any longing with Your peace and contentment in You alone. If RMP is not a believer, we ask that You would draw his heart to salvation, that he may come to know You as Lord and Savior.

Lord, we pray for clarity and discernment regarding the visa process. Guide every step, remove obstacles, and grant favor if it is Your will. But above all, let Your purposes be accomplished in this sister’s life. Protect her heart from idolatry, from placing her hope in a man rather than in You. Help her to seek You first, to find her identity and worth in Christ, and to trust You with her deepest desires.

Father, we also lift up her boys. May they come to know You as their Heavenly Father, and if it is Your will for them to have an earthly stepfather, prepare a man who will lead them in godliness, love them as his own, and point them to You. Let this family be built on the foundation of Christ, where love, sacrifice, and holiness abound.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who alone can satisfy our hearts. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every aspect of this situation. Amen.

In closing, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing Scripture to shape your desires and expectations. Psalm 37:4 reminds us, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." When our delight is in Him, our desires align with His will. Proverbs 3:5-6 exhorts us to "trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Surrender this relationship fully to Him, trusting that He knows what is best for you and your boys.

If RMP is a believer, we encourage you to involve godly mentors or your church community in this season. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Seek wisdom from those who can speak truth into your life and hold you accountable to biblical standards.

Lastly, remember that God’s timing is perfect. While the wait may be difficult, His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17). Whether this relationship is part of His plan or not, He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Trust in Him, and let your heart rest in His promises.
