Prayer for Protection, Justice & Favour at Work

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord, I come before You with a heavy heart. You know the pain I have been carrying at work. You know the things that have been said about me, the way I have been portrayed, and how deeply it hurts to feel that my bosses think I am someone who cannot get things done. You also know the people who have taken pleasure in my struggles. Father, I ask You to be my defender. Just as You stood with David when he was surrounded by enemies, stand with me. Let every false word, unfair judgment and accusation spoken against me lose its power. Lord, where I have made mistakes, give me humility and wisdom to improve. But where I have been misunderstood or unfairly judged, let the truth come to light. Let my work, my effort and my character speak louder than what people say about me. Please give my bosses discernment. Do not allow advice given against me out of jealousy, malice or misunderstanding to determine my future. Let them see the truth and judge me fairly. Father, heal my heart from the hurt, embarrassment and disappointment I have experienced. Help me not to become bitter or seek revenge. Instead, give me the strength to rise above it. Turn this situation around for my good. Restore my reputation, confidence and favour. Give me wisdom, excellence and the ability to accomplish what is placed in my hands. Lord, fight this battle for me. Let those who expected me to fail see me rise—not through revenge, but through Your grace, favour and justice. I place my reputation, my work and my future in Your hands. Defend me, vindicate me and lead me into a better season. Amen.

We join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord and we stand with you in prayer for protection, justice and favour at your workplace. We hear the pain in your heart over false words, unfair judgments and the ache of feeling misrepresented before your bosses, and we know that God sees it all and cares deeply for you.

The Lord is your defender and He does not miss what is done in secret or what is spoken against you. We are reminded that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh, Isaiah 54:17. He also promises, Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still, Exodus 14:14. Your reputation and your future are safest in His hands, for He says, Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this, he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noonday, Psalm 37:5-6.

We also take comfort that promotion and vindication do not ultimately come from people. For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes exaltation. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another, Psalm 75:6-7. Even when others may take pleasure in your struggles, God calls us to a different way. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. And, When a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, Proverbs 16:7. Your desire not to become bitter or seek revenge is pleasing to God and we pray He will keep your heart soft, forgiving and free from resentment while He works justice on your behalf.

We also want to gently encourage you about how we come to the Father. You prayed beautifully to Lord and Father, and we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and assurance of being heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. So we come boldly now in the name of Jesus, trusting His shed blood has opened the way for us.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You know every word spoken against them, every unfair judgment and every tear they have carried. We ask You to be their shield and defender. Let every false accusation lose its power and let truth come to light in Your perfect timing. Where there have been mistakes, grant humility and wisdom to learn and grow, and where there has been misunderstanding, reveal the truth clearly to their bosses and colleagues. Give their leaders discernment to see beyond jealousy, malice or gossip and to judge fairly with clear eyes. Heal their heart from hurt, embarrassment and disappointment, and guard them from bitterness. Fill them with Your peace and strength to rise above this trial with grace. Restore their reputation, confidence and favour, and anoint the work of their hands with excellence. Help them to remember, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, Colossians 3:23, so that their diligence and character will speak louder than any slander. Turn this situation for their good, vindicate them, and lead them into a better season where those who expected failure will see Your grace lifting them up. We place their work, reputation and future fully in Your hands. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in integrity, to do your work faithfully as unto the Lord, and to commit each day to Him in prayer. Trust Him to be your advocate, to open doors no man can shut, and to bring justice in His way and time. Keep forgiving, keep doing good, and keep your hope anchored in Christ, for He is faithful.

We heard the weight in your prayer and how painful it has been to feel misjudged at work, to carry embarrassment and disappointment, and to sense that others have taken pleasure in your struggle. Wanting to be seen truthfully and to do your work well matters, and it hurts deeply when your effort and character feel overshadowed by what is being said about you.

We appreciate the posture you brought before the Lord, asking for humility where you can grow and for truth to be seen where you have been misunderstood. Holding both of those together is not easy, and it reflects a desire to stay soft hearted and not become bitter while you wait for things to be made right.

One small step that often helps in a season like this is to quietly create clarity for yourself and for those over you. Keeping a simple weekly record of what you have been given and what you have completed can steady your own confidence, and if there is opportunity, asking a manager for a brief check in to clarify expectations and hear direct feedback can give truth more room to speak than secondhand opinions do.

Father, we lift our brother to You. You see his work, his heart, and every word spoken about him. Heal the hurt and embarrassment he has carried, guard him from bitterness, and give him wisdom and strength for each task in his hands. Give his leaders discernment to judge fairly and give him peace as he entrusts his reputation and future to You. Lead him into what is good and right in Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Praying for your request and you

Psalm 100:4
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and his name.
Mathew 5:44
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
1 Peter 4:8

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
Luke 10:27

He answered, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.
Mathew 7:1-3

7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Isaiah 54:17a
No weapon formed against you shall prosper
Mathew 18:20
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

The Lord has heard the cry of your heart and He knows the weight you carry, for there is nothing hidden from His eye. He sees the false words that have been spoken, the unfair judgments that have wounded you, and the pain of feeling misrepresented before those who hold authority over you. He hears also those groans and sighs of souls who are crushed beneath the burden of injustice, and He sits upon a throne as of transparent glass, pure as crystal, a throne without spot or blemish, whose judgment no bribe can ever influence and whose Judge will never do any man an injustice.

You have done well to place your cause in His hands and to ask Him to be your defender as He was with David. Leave your vindication with Him. In His own time He causes truth to come to light, and He can give to those set over you a discerning spirit, so that counsel given out of jealousy or misunderstanding shall not determine your future. Pray for them, that they may judge fairly, and commit your work to the Lord, that your effort and character may speak with a quiet eloquence louder than accusation.

Where you have made mistakes, as we all have, receive His correction with humility. It is a gracious thing when the Christian faith is manifestly connected with a death to sin and a living unto holiness, and the Lord will give wisdom to improve and to walk more carefully. Where you have been misunderstood or unfairly judged, remember that all true vindication of justice was accomplished at the cross. Never did righteousness receive such vindication as when God, the mighty Maker, having assumed flesh, in that flesh died for man the creature's sin. There the law received a greater vindication than it could have done even in the sufferings of all men, and therefore justice stands no longer in the way of the sinner's pardon, for God can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. If He has so vindicated His own holy law for your eternal pardon, will He not also deal justly and mercifully with you in this present trial.

Do not let hurt and embarrassment harden into bitterness or a desire for revenge. That way only adds a new burden to your soul. When He turns in a way of grace to His people, He seems to be flying on the wings of the wind, for He comes with all His soul most heartily and richly to display His favor and His love toward the objects of His choice. Ask Him to heal your heart, to restore your confidence, and to clothe you with wisdom and excellence in all that is placed in your hands, so that you may do your work heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men.

We join our prayers with yours. Father, be this dear one's defender. Let every false word and unfair accusation lose its power. Where there is need of correction, grant humility to receive it and grace to grow. Where there is falsehood, let truth be revealed. Grant to those in authority clear eyes and an upright heart, that they may not be swayed by whisper or prejudice. Heal the wound of disappointment, keep this heart from bitterness, and turn this trial for good. Restore favour where it has been lost, give skill and diligence to accomplish what is entrusted, and let those who expected failure see the quiet triumph of Thy grace, not in revenge, but in renewed strength and peace. Defend, vindicate according to Thy perfect justice and mercy, and lead into a better season, for Christ's sake. Amen.
