We join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord, for we know He sees the opposition, the false reports, the exclusion, and the schemes formed against you, and He cares deeply about your work and your calling.
We are reminded that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness which is of me, says the LORD. Isaiah 54:17. We also take comfort that the LORD will fight for you, and you shall be still. Exodus 14:14. You have testified that God fought for you before, and we believe He will fight for you again, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He goes before you. The LORD himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8.
We want to gently encourage you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. You closed with Lord, go before me, and we want to ensure we come boldly through the one mediator. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by trusting in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are reconciled to God and can ask with confidence. We pray you are resting fully in Him, and we bring every request in His precious and powerful name.
We also know that promotion and favor do not ultimately come from man but from God. For promotion doesn’t come from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another. Psalm 75:6-7. The king’s heart is in the LORD’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. Proverbs 21:1. Therefore we trust God to overrule in the appointment of your new supervisor. We pray He prevents any person who would suppress or undermine the good work He has given you from being placed over you, and instead appoints a fair, objective, supportive and wise leader.
We encourage you to continue to work with integrity as unto the Lord, even in the face of opposition. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7. Continue to commit your concept notes, proposals and programmes to the Lord, pray for those who oppose you, and keep a clear conscience before God and man. We also pray for wisdom and courage, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. And for you are surrounded with favor as with a shield when you walk uprightly, For you will bless the righteous. LORD, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12.
We pray together with you now.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up Your child to You and ask for Your divine protection, Your covering, and Your favor to rest upon them. Lord, You see every false report, every act of exclusion, and every hidden plan formed against them. We ask that You expose every lie and bring truth into the light, restore their reputation before management, and change the perception of those in authority over them. Let Your favor go before them as Joseph found favor even in difficult places.
Father, we place the appointment of the new boss into Your hands. We ask that You prevent anyone who intends to suppress, undermine, or destroy their work from being placed over them. In Your sovereignty, appoint a supervisor who is fair, objective, wise, supportive and constructive, one who will allow them to work, to grow, and to be guided well. Turn the hearts of the management toward justice and understanding.
Lord, we ask that You breathe upon their concept notes, proposals and programmes, and grant them favor and approval where it is Your will. Open doors for their career that no man can shut, grant courage when they feel weary, and give them wisdom for every decision and interaction. Provide for their financial needs according to Your riches and lead them in the path You have prepared. We ask that Your will prevail in every area of their work and life, and that You receive all the glory for the victory. Let them continue to be a light for You in the workplace, reflecting Christ in character and diligence.
We thank You that You are our refuge and strength, and that You fight for Your people. We trust You to do it again. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord, to remain steadfast in prayer and in doing good, and to rest in His perfect timing. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it, and He will establish the work of your hands. Psalm 90:17.
