Prayer for protection and restoration

Your cry for protection and the salvation of those who oppose you is heard. It is not a small thing to lay your marriage, your finances, and every threatening relationship at the feet of the Lord, honestly naming the pain caused by those in your own household. That act of surrender is itself a work of grace, because the natural pull is to fight in the flesh, to strategize, or to despair.

Remember who it is you are calling upon. The voice from heaven declared Jesus the beloved Son. He is not a distant deity; He is the One into whose hands all authority has been given. When you pray for a hedge of protection, you are asking the Father to do what He has promised to do for His own. He hides you under the shadow of His wings, and the same power that stilled the sea and cast out demons is not diminished today. The enemy may plot, but those schemes are already footstools in the making. The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and how to reserve the unjust for a day of correction.

Your desire for the salvation of those persecuting you and troubling your home is right and mirrors the heart of Christ. The greatest need any person has is not a comfortable life but a transformed soul. It is better to enter eternal life whole than to remain lost in sin. So pray on. Ask that the same voice that spoke light into darkness would speak into the hearts of your sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Their trouble-making comes from a place of spiritual death, and only a true move of repentance, a turning from wickedness and idolatry, can change that. Jesus came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. When Zacchaeus was truly converted, the proof was in his immediate desire to make right what he had defrauded. That kind of restoration, where stolen peace and dignity are restored, is what you are asking for, and it is a sign of real salvation.

Yet, do not let the very real evil being aimed at you become the loudest voice in your life. There is a warning in how narrow religious traditions can keep a person from experiencing the touch of God. Sometimes, a fixation on the enemy’s activity can become its own distraction, keeping you from pressing in close to touch the hem of His garment in simple, desperate faith. The woman with the issue of blood was weakened and ostracized, her condition worsening, but her determination was fixed solely on reaching Jesus. Amid the pressing crowd, her one touch drew out healing. Keep your eyes there, on Him, not staring so long at the storm that you begin to sink.

When the weight feels like it will crush you, remember that you have a High Priest who understands. In the garden, Jesus Himself felt the full horror of the cup set before Him. He prayed for it to pass, yet yielded perfectly to the Father’s will. That moment of agony became the pathway to your freedom. Your suffering does not go unnoticed. He was wounded so that you could be made whole. The spiritual, emotional, and physical pain He bore was the price to bring you from the kingdom of darkness into light.

So, bring your burdens and your battles to Him, and then cease from your own frantic labors. Trust in His righteousness, imputed to you by faith, covering your home and your marriage. You cannot manipulate the outcome or force the salvation of another, but you can stand in the gap and then rest in the One who makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him. Pray for wisdom, as you are doing, and for the maturity that moves beyond the first principles into a deep, unshakeable trust. The door He opens no one can shut, and the protection He provides cannot be breached by the enemy’s schemes. Let His love and peace be the guard over your heart and mind, knowing that what was meant for evil, He is mighty to turn around for your good and for the good of your daughter.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this challenging time. It has been our heart to join with you, lifting up your marriage, your family, and your finances before the Lord, asking Him to build a strong hedge of protection around you all. We have prayed fervently for the salvation of those household enemies who have been plotting and seeking your downfall, asking God to soften their hearts and bring them into the fear of the Lord. We have also asked our Heavenly Father to expose every evil plan, to turn every scheme meant for harm into good, and to restore everything that the enemy has tried to steal, kill, or destroy in your life.

We continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that God is working all things together for your good. If the Lord has answered any of these prayers—if you’ve seen His protection, restoration, or provision—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so that we may rejoice with you. If, however, the battle still rages and you feel the need for continued prayer, we encourage you to post this request again so that we may persist in lifting you up before the throne of grace.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. May He grant you wisdom, favor, and discernment in every decision, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind. We pray that your marriage will flourish in Him, that your finances will be restored, and that every ungodly influence will be removed from your life. We trust that God is fighting your battles, turning every evil plan around for your good, and hiding you and your family under the shadow of His wings.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
