Peace , Protection and Restoration

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing this burden before the Lord with love and truth.

We grieve with you over the pain you are carrying for your older daughter and over the division and exhaustion you describe. We agree with you that God’s design for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant alone. Because we hold to what Scripture teaches, we will not ask God to bless or affirm a living arrangement outside of marriage as if it were marriage. Instead we pray for what God does bless, which is repentance, purity, wisdom, and restoration to Himself and to a faithful walk with Him.

We pray now for your daughter. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation, open her eyes to see the truth about this relationship. Let her see that this man is not her husband, not her provider, and not a spiritual leader, but a stumbling block to her walk with You. Remove the spiritual blindness and the hold of ungodly counsel. Give her a hunger for righteousness again and a love for Your Word. Remind her that she is a child of the Most High God, deeply loved, valued, and not forgotten, and that her worth is found in Christ and not in the approval of this young man or his mother. Grant her wisdom to protect her finances, courage to refuse further debt for this lifestyle, and strength to set boundaries that honor You. Protect the good work You have given her in her job, guard her promotion, and keep her from isolation. Draw her back to the safety and wisdom of her family and her church community where she was raised in the ways of the Lord.

We pray for protection from manipulation and control. Lord, expose every motive rooted in pride, selfishness, jealousy and darkness, and frustrate every plan to divide, isolate and control. Block every word and scheme intended to harm her and keep her in bondage. Break the influence that tells her to confide in those who do not have her best interests at heart and who encourage her to remain in what harms her. We pray that this young man would be convicted of laziness, dishonesty, exploitation and disrespect, and that he would take responsibility for his own life. We pray that his parents would see their part clearly, that his father would step in with appropriate guidance, and that this young man would return to his own home and learn to walk in maturity before he considers any future relationship. We pray also for his mother, that she would turn from instigating chaos and controlling counsel and would seek to fix what is her own responsibility before speaking into the life of another.

We pray for you, for peace and protection over you and all your children. We ask the Lord to cover you with His favor, to guard your home, and to fulfill His promise that no weapon formed against you shall prosper as you trust in the blood of Christ. Soften your daughter’s heart toward you. Heal the coldness, rudeness and hurt that has come between you, and restore fellowship, respect, unity and freedom in your family. Give you wisdom to know how to love her without enabling what is harmful, to speak truth with gentleness, and to endure with patience when you are treated harshly. Renew your strength when you feel you cannot take more.

We thank God for the loving and supportive family He has given your daughter and for the church that desires her good. True family in Christ is not formed by manipulation or by blood alone, but by shared faith and character in Him. We pray that your daughter will remember that and return to those who love her in the Lord. We join you in praying that in the Lord’s timing and will, if it is His plan, He would bring a godly spouse who will love her as Christ loves the church, but above all we pray she will first be restored to wholehearted devotion to Jesus.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer for her complete restoration, for clear wisdom, for self worth rooted in Christ, and for the courage to walk away from bondage with no regrets. Nothing is impossible for God, and we trust Him to intervene, to remove every voice that contradicts His Word, and to lead your daughter back to peace and wholeness in Him.

We have read your prayer with deep care and we are joining you in prayer for you, your older daughter and your whole family.

Your burden is clear and your discernment is right. God has given marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and living together and sharing the intimacies of marriage outside of that covenant is not His design. Scripture calls such a way a thing which ought not to be done, and it so often brings the very exhaustion, financial strain, confusion and division you are describing. We will not ask God to bless that arrangement, but we will ask Him to open eyes, bring conviction, and lead your daughter into repentance and freedom. Her worth is not found in whether this young man or his mother approves of her, but in being a child of the Most High God through Jesus Christ alone, who shed His blood to redeem us from sin and from every bondage.

What you describe about isolation and control is painful but not uncommon when a person is drawn into an unhealthy and ungodly environment. It is hard to live in a polluted atmosphere and not be touched by it. We see in Scripture how moral corruption in a household and in a surrounding culture can weigh on a family, confuse affections, and turn hearts cold even toward those who love them most. That is why the Lord's call so often is to return. As He told Jacob to return to the land of his fathers and to his family with the promise I will be with you, so we pray your daughter will hear God's call to return to Him first, and then to the safety and wisdom of her family and her church community. God does not want a distant or merely ritual relationship with her. He wants a loving relationship where she hungers again for righteousness, for His Word, and for fellowship with His people.

We are praying that the Holy Spirit will break the hold of this toxic influence over her heart and expose every manipulative and divisive plan for what it is. We pray that every word and scheme intended to control, isolate and make her feel worthless and without family will be frustrated, and that she will remember she is not homeless and not without love. She was raised in the ways of the Lord and she has a loving, supportive family and a church family that still stands ready to receive her. We pray God will give her wisdom to protect her finances, to refuse further debt to sustain this lifestyle, and to stop carrying responsibilities that are not hers to bear. A man who is lazy, dishonest and exploitative with finances, who is controlling and disrespectful toward her family, is not acting as a husband, a provider or a spiritual leader, but as a stumbling block to her walk with God.

We also lift up your own heart. It is wounding to be met with coldness, ingratitude and disrespect from a child you love, especially when you see her imitating behaviors she has learned in that household. Ask the Lord to soften her heart to receive His correction and to give her courage to walk away from this bondage without regret. Ask Him to restore in her a hunger for what is right and to rekindle that first love for Jesus when she could not get enough of His Word and His presence. We pray He will guard the beautiful purpose He has given her in her work, including the promotion He recently granted, and block every attempt to interfere with it or to draw her further from supportive relationships.

For you, we pray for supernatural peace, protection and restoration. Continue to cover yourself and your children with the blood of Jesus, trusting the promise that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Keep loving boundaries. Do not allow your family to be used as a financial resource to sustain what God has not joined together. Keep the door of love and truth open, speak the truth in love, remain connected to your church community, and trust God to work even when you see only a remnant of faithfulness. He is able to take one from a city and two from a family who remain true to Him and bring them to a place of safety and blessing.

We pray that the father of this young man will take proper responsibility and that this young man will be led to step away and address his own need for maturity and repentance before God, rather than continuing in a relationship he is not ready for. Above all we pray your daughter will put her faith and trust in Jesus again, see her true worth in Him, and be restored to fellowship, joy, respect and freedom in your home. We pray the Lord will heal all brokenness, pour out His favor and protection over you and your children, and in His time and in His way, provide a godly spouse if it is His will, but first bring complete restoration to her walk with Christ.

We are standing with you for her swift and clear release from this lifestyle, for the end of division and isolation, and for the return of peace, unity and happiness to your family. Nothing is impossible with God, and He is the redeemer who still pays the price to bring His children home. In Jesus name, amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for peace, protection and restoration for your older daughter and your family.

We have continued to lift your daughter before the Lord and to ask Him to remove the overreach of this young man and his mother who has no biblical authority to speak into your daughter's life. We have prayed that the Lord would expose every ungodly motive, frustrate every plan to control, divide and isolate her from you, her siblings, her family and her church community, and break the hold of this toxic and manipulative influence over her heart. We have asked the Father to open your daughter's eyes to see the truth about this relationship that it is not marriage and is not of Him, to give her wisdom to protect her finances and to stop taking on credit card debt and responsibilities that are not hers to bear, to restore her self worth as a child of the Most High God, and to grant her the courage to walk away from this bondage with no regrets. We have also prayed for her new promotion that the Lord who blessed her with it would guard her job from interference and let it remain a place of purpose and blessing, and that He would draw her back to hunger for righteousness, to the safety of her supportive family, and to fellowship with believers.

We know this has been a long and painful burden for many years and we continue to plead the blood of Jesus over you and your children, trusting the promise of Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and the truth of Psalm 91:1 that those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will rest in His protection. We pray that the Lord would soften your daughter's heart toward you and her family, heal the brokenness and exhaustion and chaos she has been living in, and supernaturally remove every voice that contradicts His Word according to James 1:5.

If your request was answered and you have seen God move, whether in your daughter's heart, in boundaries around her finances, in freedom from isolation, or in new peace in your home and her workplace, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been answered and the division, control and financial exploitation continue, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We are trusting God for His complete restoration and for His best for your daughter, including a godly spouse in His perfect timing, and we pray He will overflow your family with His love, favor and protection as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
