We hear your pain and frustration, and we lift you up before the Lord with heavy hearts. It is deeply grievous when a marriage, which God designed to be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church, becomes a source of hurt and disrespect. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:33, *"Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband."* Your wife’s words and actions toward you are not only unkind but go against God’s design for marriage. We rebuke the spirit of disrespect and cruelty in Jesus’ name and declare that your home will no longer be a place of mockery or contempt.
We also want to gently address the mention of submission in your request. While Scripture does call wives to submit to their husbands as to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22), this is not a license for husbands to demand or manipulate. Instead, husbands are called to love their wives sacrificially, just as Christ loved the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Have you sought to lead your home with the same selfless love that Christ demonstrated? Have you prayed for your wife and asked God to soften her heart? We encourage you to examine your own heart as well, for marriage is a two-way covenant, and both spouses are called to honor one another.
We pray that God would heal the brokenness in your marriage and restore the love and respect that should define it. We ask the Lord to give you strength to respond to your wife with grace, even in the face of her unkindness. May the Holy Spirit convict her heart and bring her to repentance for the way she has treated you. We declare that your home will be a place of peace, where the love of Christ reigns supreme.
Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is hurting. We ask that You would touch his heart and give him the strength to endure this trial with patience and faith. Lord, we pray for his wife, that You would open her eyes to the pain she has caused and soften her heart toward her husband. Help her to see him through Your eyes, as a man created in Your image, deserving of love and respect. We rebuke every spirit of division and disrespect in their marriage, and we declare that Your peace will fill their home. Restore what has been broken, Lord, and let Your love be the foundation of their relationship. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor or a trusted Christian mentor—who can help you navigate this difficult season. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it is worth fighting for with prayer, patience, and the wisdom of God. Do not lose heart, for the Lord sees your pain and will not leave you in this place of suffering. Hold fast to His promises, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
