Hi im new here name is ###. ### has been bad even though im reading my bible and praying everyday. Hoping for peace today and rest and hopefully make a friend

We hear your cry for peace and companionship, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion. It’s a heavy burden to carry when loneliness weighs on you, even as you seek the Lord through His Word and prayer. Know that your faithfulness in seeking Him is not in vain, He sees your tears, hears your prayers, and holds you close in His love. The psalmist wrote, "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance" (Psalm 42:5 WEB). Even in the waiting, God is working, and His peace is available to you.

We must also gently remind you that true peace and lasting friendship are found in Christ first. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Him, we urge you to do so today. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved, and no other foundation for true peace and fellowship (Acts 4:12). If you have already placed your trust in Him, we rejoice with you! But if not, we pray you would confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is seeking Your peace and the gift of godly friendship. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You would wrap Your arms around them in this season of loneliness. Fill their heart with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their mind and emotions in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help them to rest in Your presence, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we ask that You would bring believers into their life who will sharpen them in faith, encourage them in truth, and walk alongside them in love. Surround them with friends who will point them to You, challenge them to grow, and stand with them in both joy and sorrow. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of isolation and loneliness in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Let them experience the joy of Christian fellowship, where iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate relationships. May they seek friendships that honor You, where accountability, purity, and mutual edification are valued. Protect their heart from connections that would draw them away from You or lead them into sin. Help them to be a light in this world, reflecting Your love and grace to those around them.

Lord, we ask that You would heal any wounds from past friendships or rejection. Mend their heart and fill them with Your love so they can love others freely, without fear. Remind them daily that they are never alone, for You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and let them see Your hand at work in their life.

In all things, may they seek You first, trusting that You will add all these things unto them (Matthew 6:33). We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Friend. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart, for He promises that those who seek Him will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). Attend a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and connect with other believers. Join small groups or Bible studies where you can build relationships with like-minded Christians. Remember, friendship is a two-way street, be willing to invest in others, show kindness, and be a friend to those around you. The Lord often brings people into our lives when we step out in faith and serve others.

Lastly, guard your heart against bitterness or resentment if friendships don’t develop as quickly as you’d like. Trust in God’s timing, for He knows what you need and when you need it. Keep your eyes on Him, and let your life be a testimony of His love and grace. You are deeply loved, and we are praying for you!

We’re so glad you reached out, . That kind of year can leave you bone-tired, and feeling alone in the middle of it makes everything heavier, even when you’re faithfully reading scripture and praying. Please hear this clearly: a hard season doesn’t mean God has pulled away or that you’re doing something wrong. Those daily habits are real, and they matter, even when the peace you’re longing for doesn’t flood in at once.

Sometimes loneliness intensifies not because you’re isolated, but because you’re ready for connection and it just hasn’t arrived yet. One quiet step that often helps is moving toward places where friendships grow naturally, things like a small group, a Sunday school class, or even a regular volunteer team at church. Most deep friendships start simply from showing up in the same place week after week and letting people in a little at a time. You don’t have to force a deep conversation; just being present and gently sharing what’s real can build more than we expect.

We’re praying that today you feel a small break in the clouds, a moment of rest, a sense that you’re not invisible. And we’re asking God to bring someone into your life who sees you, listens well, and walks with you.

Jesus, thank you that you never leave us to struggle alone. For our friend, we ask for real rest from the weight of this year. Quiet their mind, lift their heart, and open a door to a friend who will be steady and true. Surround them with your presence so they know they are held, even in the silence. In your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have been reading your Bible and praying, and yet the day has been bad. Do not be cast down overmuch, for even in the darkest hours the light of God's Word may yet bring a quiet peace to your soul. That peace you seek is not a thing earned by doing, but a gift received by trusting. Rest in the Lord, yea, rest in Him. The promise standeth sure: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee." It is no partial peace, but perfect, double peace, peace, peace, that He gives. And this peace comes not from the absence of storms, but from the presence of Christ within the vessel. He saith, "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Mark you, He gives it; it is a present rest, instantaneous and complete, found alone in His atoning blood. Cease, then, from thine own strivings, and lean thy whole weight upon Jesus.

Thou hast spoken of a friend. The loneliness of the heart is a sorrow that our Lord Himself knew full well. He was left alone, deserted of all, even when He most craved human sympathy. Yet He is the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, and in His fellowship thou shalt find the sweetest friendship that heaven itself can afford. And let me add: seek out the company of His people, for God hath commanded us to comfort one another. In the very act of comforting others, our own comfort is increased. The Lord, I trust, shall ordain peace for thee; and as thou waitest upon Him, He shall cause thee to forget thy misery as waters that pass away. I will pray with thee for that peace and for the friend thy heart desireth. Only fix thine eyes on Christ, and thou shalt find in Him both rest and the truest companionship.

You speak of wanting peace and a friend. This is a good desire, but let us understand what peace truly is and what friendship should be. The peace you seek is not merely the absence of trouble or a quiet day. Christ himself said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you." This peace is reconciliation with God, a conscience void of offense, the stilling of the war within your own soul by grace. When you read the Scriptures and pray, you are planting seeds, but the harvest of peace comes when you walk in holiness and forgive others, for the peacemakers are called sons of God.

You say your week has been bad even with prayer and Bible reading. Do not be surprised. The enemy attacks most fiercely those who strive toward heaven. But remember, if your conscience testifies that you are seeking God, that itself is a great comfort and a crown. When Paul was in chains, he still besought the Ephesians to walk worthily, with lowliness and meekness. The way to peace is humility, long-suffering, bearing with others in love. Seek first this inner peace born of a pure heart, and the external rest will follow.

Now, about a friend. You must be careful what kind of friend you seek. A companion who merely shares your table or passes the time is no true friend; such friendships robbers and murderers have. True friendship is when souls are bound together for virtue, when you help one another toward heaven and hinder one another from hell. A brother aided by a brother becomes a fortified city. Do not look for someone who will flatter you or join you in idleness; seek those who provoke you to love and good works.

You are not alone even now. Each believer has an angel who always beholds the Father's face. Yet God also placed us in a body, the Church, because we need one another. The assembly of believers has more power than a solitary prayer. There you will find those who need you, and those you need. The teacher needs the taught, the strong need the weak. Go to the gathering of the saints, not as a spectator, but as a living member. Seek out those who seem weighty with wisdom and gentleness. Let your bond be the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Flee from any so-called friend who would lead you into sin; that is not peace but a conspiracy against your soul. The love of Christ cuts off diseased members to save the body. But cling to those who speak the truth in love. Pray for the grace to be such a friend yourself, lowly, ready to forgive, eager to serve.

Therefore, do not despair. The God of peace will shortly bruise Satan under your feet. Continue in prayer, but add to it the earnest seeking of holy fellowship within the church. Ask the Lord for the Angel of peace to go before you. Enter every gathering of believers with the greeting of peace in your heart, and you will find it returning to you. The very longing for a godly friend is a prayer the Lord will answer, if you entrust it to him and wait upon his provision. He did not bring heaven down to earth to leave you comfortless.

It sounds like you are in a hard place right now. You are reading your Bible and praying every day, yet the struggle remains, and you long for peace, for rest, and for a friend. That longing is not wrong. In fact, it points you toward something God truly wants to give you.

The deepest peace begins not with our own efforts to feel better, but with peace with God. As long as we carry the weight of our own sin and try to make things right by sheer willpower, there is an inner war that cannot be quieted. The only way to end that war is through Jesus Christ. He made peace through His blood, so when you turn your life over to Him and receive His forgiveness, the battle stops. You are no longer running from God. That is the starting point of all real rest.

But many who have peace with God still lack the peace of God. That peace comes from a mind stayed on Him. You may find it hard to rest in faith because you are used to relying on your own striving. Yet the only place you will ever truly rest is in that complete commitment to Him, letting go of the idea that you must somehow generate enough faith or perfect enough a routine to earn His comfort. He knows you cannot fix yourself in your own strength, and He does not ask you to. He asks you to rest in what He has already finished for you.

When you cease from your own works and trust His finished work on the cross, you enter into that Sabbath rest. That does not mean you will never face turmoil, but it does mean you have an anchor in the storm. God does not promise a trouble-free life, but He does promise to be the God of all comfort. In every dark hour, He stands by you to strengthen and encourage you. He will keep you in perfect peace when your mind trusts in Him, even when circumstances make no sense.

Do not fret over the fact that things feel bad right now. Fretting will never produce peace. Instead, rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace, not anxiety. As you learn to rest in Him, your own heart will be quieted, and that interior calm will begin to overflow into your relationships. You asked about finding a friend. When you are no longer at war within, you become someone who can sow peace, and you will reap that fruit in due time. The end of the upright is peace, and God often brings people into our lives as a part of that peace.

So today, let this be your prayer: not just asking for relief, but choosing to rest where God rests, in the finished work of Jesus. Let His grace come first, and the peace will follow. He is faithful, and He will provide the comfort and the companionship you need.
