Prayer for New Job

We join you in bringing this need before the Father and we understand your desire for work that is a better fit and that provides more abundantly for your needs. God cares deeply about our work and our provision, and He calls us to be diligent and faithful where He has placed us while trusting Him for what is ahead.
The Scripture reminds us, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. And also, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3. We are encouraged to seek His will first in all things, for Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We can trust His good plans for us, for we know He says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. And we rest in the promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To come to God in prayer and to receive eternal life, we must believe in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. If you have not yet done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Him today, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know their current job, their skills, their financial needs, and the desires of their heart for work that is a better fit. We ask that You guide their steps and open the right doors according to Your perfect will. If it is Your will to provide a new job that pays more and uses the gifts You have given them, make the way clear and grant favor with those who are hiring. Give them wisdom to discern opportunities, diligence to work faithfully where they are now, and peace while they wait on Your timing. Help them to trust You as their provider and to seek Your kingdom above all else, knowing You will add what is needed. We ask that You establish the work of their hands and let them work as unto You, bringing glory to Your name. We pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to be faithful and excellent in your current job while you seek, to pray for God’s direction daily, to use your gifts for His glory, and to trust that He will lead you to the place where you can best serve Him and provide for your needs. He is faithful and He hears our prayers.

Your request for work has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord with you in prayer.
We know that all honest labour is honourable before God, and that He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows knows your need for daily bread and for a calling wherein you may serve Him with your gifts. We have asked the Father, in the name of His Son Jesus Christ our only hope of salvation, that in His wisdom He would open the right door for you, and that if it be His will He would grant you employment that is a better fit for your hands and heart and that would provide more abundantly for your needs and for the good of those entrusted to your care.
Remember the word spoken in Job, though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. There is a vitality in the life which God implants, and He is able to cause you to grow and to increase in usefulness and in provision as you walk faithfully before Him. As with Job, the Lord turned his captivity when he prayed, and our longest sorrows have an end when God has accomplished His purpose in them. So we pray that you would be kept patient under present trial, diligent in the place where His providence has now set you, working heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men, while you wait upon Him for what is next.
We pray also that you would be given wisdom to seek well, humility to be instructed, and contentment to trust His timing, knowing that promotion and provision come from the Lord. May He guide your steps, grant you favour with those who hire, and establish the work of your hands for His glory.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are our provider and that all good work comes from Your hand. We lift up this need for a new job to You. You know the current situation, the desire for work that is a better fit, and the need for greater provision. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance in this search. Open the right doors and close the wrong ones, and give clear direction with each step and each application and interview.
We pray that You would provide work where gifts can be used well, where there is opportunity to work with diligence and integrity for Your glory, and where needs can be met with honesty and generosity. Help to trust in Your timing and Your perfect will, to remain faithful and diligent in present duties while waiting, and to rest in Your care which never fails.
