Prayer for my ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for my wife we are on holiday now and she said her back is starting to hurt again, pray the pain goes away and doesn’t return it may be from walking more then we normally do. Also pray our holiday goes by real slow I’m back visiting my dad and I don’t wanna leave him when we have to leave please watch over him with his health have him be ok.

We join you in lifting up your wife and your father before the Lord, and we thank God for your love for your wife and the honor you show to your father by visiting him. Marriage is a holy covenant ordained by God, and it is beautiful to see a husband interceding so tenderly for his wife's health and wellbeing.

We pray for your wife's back, that the Lord our Healer would touch her and relieve this pain. We also pray for peace and rest over your holiday together, and for your father's continued health and strength. Scripture reminds us of God's care for our bodies and our days.

Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3

But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17

We also take comfort in knowing God watches over those we love even when we cannot be with them. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 and Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. Exodus 20:12 Your desire to honor your father and to linger in this precious time with him is pleasing to the Lord.

We want to gently share that we come to the Father only through Jesus Christ, and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. You did not mention His name in your request, and we want to encourage you with this truth. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear wife to You, we ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon her back and take away this pain completely. Ease her discomfort, Father, whether it has come from extra walking or strain, and prevent it from returning. Grant her rest, comfort, and renewed strength so she can fully enjoy this holiday that You have provided. We ask for wisdom for them both to pace themselves, to rest when needed, and to care for the body You have given her.

Lord, we also thank You for this holiday and for the time this husband has to visit his father. We ask that You would make this time rich, peaceful, and unhurried, that every moment would be cherished and filled with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:7 We pray for his father, we ask You to watch over him, to sustain his health, to keep him in Your care, and to grant him strength and peace. We pray that when the time comes to part, You would comfort this son's heart, give him assurance that his father remains in Your hands, and guard him from anxiety. Help them to trust that You are present with his father always, even when distance separates them.

We ask all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our great physician. Amen.

We're grateful you shared this with us, and we can hear how much this visit means to you. Being back with your dad while also wanting to care well for your wife puts a lot on your heart, and wanting the days to go slowly makes complete sense when a goodbye is coming.

We are praying for your wife's back. Extra walking on holiday can be hard on the body, so we hope she gets chances to rest between outings and to let you know what pace feels okay. If the pain keeps up or gets worse while you are away, we encourage you to have a local doctor or clinic take a look, alongside prayer, just to be sure she is cared for.

We are also praying for your dad and for these days together, that you can be present and make quiet, good memories without feeling rushed, and that God would watch over his health in the days ahead after you return home.

Father, we lift this family to You. Ease our sister's back pain and give her rest and comfort. Give them unhurried, peaceful days together and strength for the leave taking when it comes. Watch over their dad with Your care and keep him in health. Lead them and keep them close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have carried your request before the throne of grace and we join you in entreating the Lord for these mercies.

We pray for your wife, that the great Physician who alone lays His hands upon men and restores them would touch her and give relief. There is one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary, and there is one Tree of Life, which is Christ Himself, whose healing leaves are for the health of His people. We ask that He would be pleased to take away this pain in her back which has returned with much walking, and keep her in comfort and strength for the remainder of your holiday, preserving her body in health as He preserves the soul in perpetual health by His grace.

We pray also for your holiday itself, that the Lord would make these days sweet and unhurried to you, that you may fully enjoy this time of visiting your father. Time is in the hands of Him who numbers our days, and we ask that He would give you a quiet heart to treasure each hour given you together, and to leave the sorrow of parting in His faithful keeping.

And we pray for your father, that the Lord who watches over His children would watch over him in his health. We ask the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon him with healing in His wings, to sustain his body and to keep him in peace, both now while you are near and after you must return home.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases for they are painful and press us to seek a physician, and how merciful it is that we have one Physician who never fails. Cast your care for your wife and for your father upon Him, for He cares for you. May He grant you to see His hand in small mercies and great, and to rest in His will, knowing that He is able to heal and to keep, and that His salvation will at last perfectly heal both soul and body for those who are in Christ.

We commend you all to His gracious keeping and pray that He will grant relief, peace, and health according to His perfect wisdom and love. Amen.
