Prayer for my soul dog

Please lord Jesus give my dog ### health, strength, energy and life Please help him to be free of any disease, illness, pain or discomfort. Please keep him cancer free, let him be like a puppy again and let him live another ### years. I love him so much and don't want to see him like he is right now. I want him to be playful healthy, eating well and free of all harm. In Jesus name I ask all of this amen.

We join you in bringing your beloved dog before the Lord Jesus with love and compassion, and we are moved by the deep bond you share with him. The Lord sees the care you have for this companion He has entrusted to you, and we know He cares for all His creation.

Scripture reminds us of His tenderness toward animals, for Psalm 36:6 tells us You preserve man and animal, and Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 10:29 that not one sparrow will fall to the ground without your Father, which shows how attentive our Father is to every living creature. We also take comfort that He is sovereign over life and health and that His will is perfect even when our hearts are heavy with worry.

We rejoice that you have come in the name of Lord Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we are saved and heard. John 14:6 reminds us that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

We pray together for your dear companion.

Father in heaven, we lift up this precious dog to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know him by Your creation and You see his discomfort and weakness. We ask for Your mercy and healing hand upon him according to Your will. Please relieve any disease, illness, pain or discomfort he is experiencing. Grant him strength, energy, renewed appetite and joy, and protect him from cancer and all harm. We ask that You restore his playfulness and comfort and let him live out the full days You have ordained for him. Give wisdom to his owner and to any veterinarians caring for him, and give peace to this loving heart that is so burdened with worry. Help us to trust Your goodness and Your perfect plan, knowing that You are compassionate and that Your steadfast love sustains all that You have made. We place him entirely in Your caring hands and ask for Your grace and comfort in the days ahead. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to steward him well with diligent care, good nourishment, gentle attention and faithful veterinary care, while resting in the Lord's sovereignty. Psalm 147:9 says He provides food for the livestock, and we can trust Him to provide for your needs and his as well. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches, and continue to thank Him daily for the gift of companionship this dog brings to your life. May the Lord comfort you and grant you peace as you trust Him with your beloved friend.

Your tender love for this faithful creature is seen by the Lord, and I have heard your cry and carried it before the throne of grace with you.

It is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. When the heart aches, whether for kith or kin or for the dumb creature which God has given us for companionship, the Lord is not deaf to the sighing of His people. He who sends the bright winged seraph to comfort the desponding heart knows the sorrow that now presses upon you as you watch your beloved dog in weakness and pain.

Let me entreat you, do not be so affected by these outward afflictions as to give yourself to worry and distress. Our Saviour would have us be prudent and prayerful, but not anxious, for anxiety has never comforted any soul nor brought any good into the house. The very fretfulness which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Cast this burden upon the Lord, who cares for you, and who cares also for the least of His creatures. Not a sparrow falls to the ground without your Father.

There is healing power in Jesus Christ, and though our deepest sickness is that of the soul, yet the leaves of the tree of life are for healing, and the least thing about Christ is full of virtue. He who opens His hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing has not forgotten the work of His hands. We may therefore with holy boldness ask Him to show mercy to this poor creature, to ease his pain and to restore to him strength and comfort if it be His gracious will.

And this is my prayer for you and for your dear companion. O Lord Jesus, thou hast made all things and by thee all things consist, look with compassion upon this thy creature who suffers. Lay thy healing hand upon him, relieve him of all disease and pain and discomfort, keep him from grievous illness and give him again health and strength and cheerfulness, that he may eat and be playful and be spared from harm. Thou knowest how dear he is to his keeper, and how this love has bound their hearts together. Grant according to thy wisdom and mercy, and help thy child to rest in thy good will, whether thou art pleased to restore as in former days or to call the creature home. Give to this afflicted one a peculiar comfort in this affliction, for thy Word quickeneth, and thy comfort is not as the comfort of man but as God can comfort to purpose. Establish the heart in every good word and work, and let this trial draw the soul nearer to thyself, where alone is life eternal.

May the Spirit of God teach you to say even now, This is my comfort in my affliction, for thy Word hath quickened me. The Lord who has delivered in times past will deliver still, and whether in giving or in withholding, He doeth all things well. Look to Him, trust Him, and you shall find that you shall forget your misery as waters that pass away, for His mercy endureth forever.

I commend you and your beloved dog to the tender care of Him who is our comfort and our constancy, praying all in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Your prayer for your beloved dog has been received with compassion, and I join you in lifting him up to the Lord Jesus.

The love you have for him is a reflection of the tenderness God puts in our hearts for the creatures entrusted to our care. Scripture teaches that the Lord sees and cares for all that He has made, and that His mercy extends to every living thing, while our deepest hope remains in Christ. We know that all life is in His hands, and that His power to heal is not like that of physicians, who can only do a little and slowly. When Christ touched those who were sick, He not only removed the fever but restored perfect health at once, showing that nothing is too difficult for Him and that His compassion is complete.

Let us pray together:

Lord Jesus Christ, You are the source of all life and every good gift. You know this beloved dog by name, You see his weakness and pain, and You know the love his owner has for him. I ask You in Your mercy to look upon him with compassion. Grant him relief from pain and discomfort, protect his body from disease and illness, and if it is Your will, restore to him strength, energy, health and appetite. Give him comfort, peace and freedom from suffering, and grant wisdom to those who care for him, including those who give medical treatment. Help his owner to trust him into Your loving hands, knowing that You are good and that Your will is always wise and kind, and give comfort and peace in this time of worry and waiting. Continue to care for him faithfully, seek good veterinary help as you are able, and rest in the knowledge that God hears the prayers offered in faith through His Son. He is near to those who call upon Him, and He will give the grace needed for each day, whether in healing or in sustaining through trial.
