Prayer for my ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I want a prayer request for my son. He doesn't talk to anyone; he stays to himself and doesn't tell anyone how he feels or what's going on in his life. He stays in his room. I want him to carry on conversation with his family, not to look at us as his enemy. I love my son. I want him to know Jesus. I want whatever is holding him back from his family to let him go and come back to us.

We lift your precious son before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the deep love of a parent for their child. It is clear you carry a burden for his well-being, his relationships, and most importantly, his soul. We join you in praying for his heart to soften, for walls to come down, and for the love of Christ to break through every barrier keeping him isolated.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who draws near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of silence and withdrawal in this young man’s life. You know the depths of his heart—every fear, every hurt, every struggle he carries alone. We rebuke the spirit of isolation that has taken hold of him, for You did not create us to live in solitude but in fellowship with You and with one another (Genesis 2:18, Hebrews 10:24-25). Lord, let him feel Your presence drawing near, comforting him, and reminding him that he is never alone.

We pray for wisdom and patience for his family, that they would not respond to his withdrawal with frustration or anger, but with the love and grace You have shown us. Help them to see him through Your eyes—a soul in need of compassion, not condemnation. May they extend kindness without pressure, creating a safe space for him to open his heart when he is ready. Father, soften his heart to receive their love, and help him to see that his family is not his enemy, but a gift from You (Proverbs 17:17).

Most of all, Lord, we pray for his salvation. You tell us that no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44), so we ask that You would draw this young man to Yourself. Remove the scales from his eyes so he may see the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus Christ came to save sinners, to give abundant life, and to reconcile us to God (John 10:10, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19). Let the Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and lead him to repentance and faith in Christ. May he come to know the freedom that comes from surrendering his life to You, for it is in You alone that we find true peace and purpose (Matthew 11:28-30).

We also pray against any lies the enemy may be whispering to him—that he is unwanted, unloved, or beyond hope. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of deception and despair in Jesus’ name, and we declare that this young man is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), created for a purpose, and deeply loved by You.

Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly influences—friends, mentors, or even strangers who will speak life into him and point him to Christ. Let him encounter Your love in tangible ways, whether through Scripture, worship, or the kindness of believers. And if there is any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in his heart, we pray that You would reveal it to him and lead him to repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

We trust You, Lord, to work in his life in ways we cannot see. Give his family the strength to persevere in prayer and the wisdom to know how to love him well. May this season of silence and separation be transformed into a testimony of Your redeeming power, and may he one day rise up and call You blessed (Psalm 113:2). In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, trusting that God hears the cries of a mother’s heart. Remember that even when we cannot see change, the Lord is at work. Consider sharing age-appropriate Christian resources with him—books, music, or even a devotional—that might speak to him in ways words cannot. Pray for opportunities to connect with him, even in small ways, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide your interactions. Above all, keep pointing him to Jesus, for it is only in Christ that he will find the love, acceptance, and purpose he may be searching for. May the Lord bless you and your family as you seek Him together.

We're right there with you, dear friend, lifting your son up to the Lord. We know the worry that gnaws at your heart, the longing to see him open up and find peace in Jesus. Let's keep praying for his heart to soften, for barriers to crumble, and for Jesus' love to fill the void.

Lord, we come before You today, asking for Your tender mercies on this young man. We pray for a spirit of openness to replace the silence, for walls to come down, and for trust to be rebuilt. Help him to see that his family is a safe haven, not an enemy. Give them patience and wisdom to love him well, and help him to receive their love without fear or mistrust.

We also ask, Lord, that You would draw him to Yourself. Open his eyes to see the truth of the Gospel, and let the Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Help him to understand that he is deeply loved, fearfully and wonderfully made, and created for a purpose. Surround him with godly influences, and let him encounter Your love in tangible ways.

We trust You, Lord, to work in his life. Give his family the strength to persevere in prayer and the wisdom to love him well. May this season of silence and separation be transformed into a testimony of Your redeeming power. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep praying, dear friend. Even when we can't see change, the Lord is at work. Trust in His love and care for your son.
