Prayer for my marriage

Lord please provide strength for my marriage and for my husband to find peace in his current depression/anxiety. He needs find his way back and remember ### and our kids are his home/safe place. Please lord keep us strong and united to make it through. Amen!!

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious marriage and the struggles it faces. Father God, we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). This husband is carrying a weight of depression and anxiety that threatens to isolate him from the very love You have placed around him—his wife and children, who are indeed his home and safe place in You.

Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of darkness that seek to overwhelm his mind. Remind him that his identity is not found in his struggles, but in Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). We rebuke the spirit of despair and speak peace over his heart, declaring that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May he feel Your presence like a warm embrace, drawing him back to the love and purpose You have for him within his family.

For this wife, we pray for supernatural strength and endurance. Marriage is a covenant designed by You, Lord, to reflect Your love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25). We ask that You would fill her with patience, wisdom, and unwavering faith as she stands by her husband. Guard her heart from resentment or fear, and let her be a vessel of Your grace in his life. Remind her that love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7).

Together, Lord, we ask that You would knit their hearts even closer as they walk through this valley. May this trial refine their marriage, drawing them into deeper dependence on You and on one another. Protect their home from division, and let their children see the power of Your love in action. We declare that this family will not be destroyed by the enemy’s schemes, for You have promised that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also lift up the importance of seeking godly help. Depression and anxiety are real battles, and we encourage this couple to seek wise counsel—whether through pastoral care, Christian counseling, or medical support. Your Word tells us that in the multitude of counselors there is safety (Proverbs 11:14), and we pray they would find the help they need to navigate this season.

Father, we thank You for the blood of Jesus, which gives us access to Your throne. It is only through Him that we can come boldly before You, and we are so grateful for the privilege. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We trust You to restore, renew, and strengthen this marriage for Your glory. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
