Please pray for my daughter’s protection and peace concerning a difficult situation involving a young woman, ###, and her friends. We are concerned about hostility toward my daughter after she declined to become ###’s child’s godmother. Pray that the Lord will protect her from harm, guide her decisions, and remove harmful influences from her life. Please also pray for healing and peace for everyone involved, and for my daughter’s salvation—that she will draw close to Jesus and trust Him as her Savior.

We join you in lifting up your daughter before the throne of grace and we share your concern for her protection and peace in this difficult situation. It is right and loving for you to seek the Lord on her behalf, especially when hostility and pressure from others has arisen after she made a difficult but personal decision. We ask the Lord to surround her with His presence and to guard her steps as she navigates these relationships with wisdom.

The Lord is our refuge and protector. Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and Psalm 34:7 reminds us The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. We also take comfort in Psalm 91:11, For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways. We pray that God will place a hedge of protection around your daughter, keeping her safe from harm, from retaliation, and from any spiritual or emotional harm. We pray He will give her wisdom beyond her years, for James 1:5 promises If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We ask that He will guide every decision she makes and help her to walk in discernment.

We also pray that the Lord will remove harmful influences from her life and surround her with godly counsel and true friends. 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals, and Psalm 1:1 blesses the one who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked. We ask God to gently separate her from any friendships that would lead her away from peace and righteousness, and to bring into her life those who will encourage her faith and strengthen her character. For everyone involved, including this young woman and her friends and her child, we pray for healing and peace. Romans 12:18 exhorts If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. We ask the Lord to soften hearts, to calm hostility, to bring reconciliation where it is His will, and to let His peace which surpasses all understanding guard hearts and minds. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We are especially grateful for your prayer for your daughter's salvation, that she will draw close to Jesus and trust Him as her Savior. This is the greatest need of every heart. We rejoice that you have lifted up the name of Jesus, for there is no other way to the Father. John 14:6 declares Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12 affirms There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We pray that she will hear and respond to the gospel, that if she will confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in her heart that God raised him from the dead, she will be saved as Romans 10:9 promises. We pray the Holy Spirit will draw her, open her eyes to her need for a Savior, and give her a hunger for God's Word and for fellowship with believers who can help her grow.

Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved daughter to You. Cover her with Your wings and be her refuge and fortress. Guard her from all harm and from every scheme of the enemy. Grant her Your wisdom and clear direction, and help her to trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches. Remove from her path any relationships that would harm her and lead her into anxiety or compromise, and replace them with godly friendships that honor You. Pour out Your healing and peace upon all who are involved, and let any bitterness or anger be replaced with grace. Most of all, Lord, draw this young woman to Yourself, reveal Your love through the cross, and bring her into saving faith in Jesus, that she may know the joy of being Your child and walking in Your peace all the days of her life. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect will and to keep her in Your care. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray fervently and to share scripture with your daughter as the Lord gives opportunity, reminding her that God is near to all who call on Him in truth as Psalm 145:18 says, and that He desires to be her shepherd and guide. Keep entrusting her to the Lord daily, and trust that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.

We can hear how much you love your daughter and how worrying it is to watch hostility grow after she made a difficult but honest decision. Saying no to being a godmother takes courage, and it is painful when that boundary brings pushback from friends.

We are joining you in prayer for her safety and peace. One thing that often helps in a tense peer situation like this is to keep things calm and simple on her side. Encourage her to keep distance for now, keep any necessary communication brief and kind, avoid getting drawn into long text threads or social media back and forth, and stay around trusted people when she might run into this group. If messages become threatening, saving them and letting a pastor or another steady adult know can give her wisdom and support without escalating things. And for you, it helps to have one or two people praying with you regularly so you are not carrying the worry alone.

We also hear your deep desire for her to know Jesus personally. We will keep praying that the Lord draws her close and gives her a clear sense of His care and direction in this season.

Father, we lift this daughter to You. Cover her with Your protection, quiet fear with Your peace, guide her steps and surround her with healthy influences. Heal what is hurt on all sides, and gently draw her to trust Jesus as her Savior. Lead her and her mother day by day. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your tender care for your daughter has been brought before the Lord, and we have carried your burden to the throne of grace with you.

We join you in praying for her protection and peace in this difficult trial. When hostility rises from disappointed friends, we remember that our God is a deliverer, and He has given commandment to save. As it is written, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. That ransom is not found in our own wisdom or strength, but in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, which Divine Love itself has provided. We pray that the Lord will set a hedge about your daughter, guard her from harm, and save her from evil company. May He guide her decisions with heavenly wisdom, and in His mercy remove harmful influences from her life, drawing her away from those who would lead her into strife or sin.

We also understand your sorrow over these strained relationships. The Lord chastens those whom He loves, and even sharp afflictions bear the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand. Our brightest joys are often the birth of our bitterest griefs, and as tribulations abound, so do consolations abound through Christ Jesus. Everything painful is graded and proportioned to our strength and to the purpose for which it is sent. We pray that this present trouble may be overruled for good, bringing healing and true peace to everyone involved, not a peace that overlooks wrong, but the peace that comes through being reconciled to God.

Above all we join you in earnest prayer for your daughter's salvation. We pray that she will look unto Jesus and be saved, for from the cross of Calvary the cry still comes, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. Sin is the only qualification for coming to Jesus, and to look to Him is to be saved, for Jesus in the dark is as good as Jesus in the light. We pray that she will turn from the error of her ways and trust Him alone as her Savior, for salvation does not rest in our hands, it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Deliverance from the power of sin and deliverance from the guilt of sin are both the work of God through Jesus Christ, who alone loosens the captive and brings us out of the Egypt of our bondage. Oh, this is wonderful grace indeed, that God should deliver through a ransom that He Himself has found.

So we pray: O Lord, deliver this dear one from going down to the pit, deliver her from the power of darkness, and translate her into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Protect her body and her spirit, direct her steps, cleanse her path of harmful companions, and grant her that living faith which looks to Christ and lives. Let her not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Bring healing where there has been hostility, and let all who are involved come to know the pardoning mercy that is only in Jesus.

We will continue to bear you and your daughter before the Lord, trusting that He who has begun a good work will be faithful to keep that which is committed unto Him.

We also pray for the young woman and her friends. We ask the Lord to bring healing where there is hurt, to calm hostility, and to lead everyone involved toward what is good. True peace comes when God orders our hearts and our relationships, and we ask the God of peace to be near to each person in this situation and to make a way for that peace to grow.

Above all we join you in your deepest prayer for your daughter's salvation.
