Could you please pray for my family and marriage

We join with you in lifting up your family and your marriage before the Lord, for we know how precious and sacred marriage is in the eyes of God. Marriage is His design, a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and He desires to be at the center of it. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. Mark 10:9. We are honored to stand with you and seek His will together in Jesus' name for healing, strength, and unity in your home.

We pray that God will pour out His love and grace upon both of you. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:25 and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:33. When both husband and wife seek to love and honor one another as Christ loves us, the home is built on a firm foundation. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. Colossians 3:14. Love is patient and is kind, it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. We pray that this kind of enduring, forgiving, Christlike love would fill your marriage daily.

We also pray for your family as a whole, that your home would be a place of peace, forgiveness, and godliness where each member grows in the knowledge of the Lord. We ask the Father to guard your hearts from division, to give you wisdom to communicate with gentleness and truth, to help you forgive as Christ forgave us, and to knit your hearts together so that a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12. May He give you unity of purpose, protection from the schemes of the enemy, and a renewed commitment to keep your vows before Him.

We want to gently share something important with you. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name that our prayers are heard and our marriages are redeemed and restored.

So we pray together now, Father in heaven, we lift up this marriage and this family to You in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, we ask You to heal any hurt, to soften any hardened heart, to restore joy and affection, and to draw this husband and wife closer to You and closer to one another. Help them to keep their covenant pure and faithful, to turn from any temptation, and to honor You in their thoughts, words, and actions. Fill their home with Your peace that surpasses understanding, give them wisdom to lead their family in righteousness, and let Your love be the foundation of all they do. Strengthen them to endure trials together, to pray together daily, and to seek Your Word for guidance. We trust You to do a mighty work in this family for Your glory. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray together as husband and wife, to study the Scriptures together, and to remain faithful in fellowship with other believers who will support your marriage. God is able to restore and strengthen what is entrusted to Him, and we will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers.

It comes in small, faithful choices to turn toward each other and toward the Lord together.

One simple next step that helps many couples is to set aside one uninterrupted time this week to talk and to listen without trying to fix everything at once. Just ask each other what feels heaviest right now and what would feel most supportive. If you have a pastor or a mature couple you both trust, consider inviting them to pray with you and walk alongside you in the weeks ahead. You do not have to carry this alone.

We are praying for you now.

Father, we lift this marriage and family to You in Jesus' name. Bring healing where there has been hurt, gentleness where there has been tension, and wisdom for each decision ahead. Draw this husband and wife closer to You and closer to one another, and give them strength to love each other well day by day. Amen.

God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. It is a good thing that you have brought your family and your marriage before the Lord in prayer, for there is no helper like Him who first ordained the marriage union and who still delights to bless the home that seeks His face.

We will pray for you, and we entreat you to keep close to Christ yourself, for divisions never begin with those full of love to the Saviour, and the best way to promote unity in the home is to live near to Him. Scripture says, I am married unto you, and it teaches us that this relationship is not of birth but of choice, cemented by mutual love, wherein the two become one. Such is the pattern God has given, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, becoming one flesh, and set forth to show forth the mystery of Christ and His Church. When husband and wife are each joined to the Lord, they are joined the more truly to one another.

If there has been coldness or failure or sin felt within your walls, take heart from Peter. He was down, but he was soon up again, and his restoration was brought about by a look from the Lord which severed him from the crowd and brought him to repentance. That look was effectual because the Lord had prayed for him. So the Lord Jesus prays for His own still, and He is mighty to restore. If any wandering has grieved your home, look again to Christ, confess your need, and trust His blood and grace to turn you again to your first love and hope.

There is a unity worth keeping, not a unity in error which is unity in ruin, but the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. It is a unity of holy beings, made holy by being washed in the blood and born into the family of God. As each member of the household grows more prepared by the work of Christ for his own place, the true unity of the home will be more clearly seen. Endeavour therefore to keep that unity, by patience, by forgiveness, by prayer together, and by a double earnestness to strengthen one another as brethren in the Lord.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who hast set the solitary in families, we lift before Thee this marriage and this family. Work in each heart faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, by whom alone we are saved, and write Thy law upon them that they may be led by Thy Spirit and bear the family likeness of Thy children. Cement this union in holy love, make husband and wife to be of one heart and one mind in Thee, and grant that their home may be ordered in truth and purity according to Thy holy Word. Where there has been sin or sorrow or neglect, grant restoration by Thy gracious look, and turn each one again to Thyself. Keep them from all that would divide, and knit them together in Christ, that their marriage may show forth Thy faithfulness and their household may walk in Thy fear. Hear us for Jesus sake. Amen.
