Prayer for life in Christ

Disciple of Prayer
Good morning brethren. My father came to me today regarding a dream he had about me, where I went missing for ### days, where I was napped and brought to another parish. Brethren, I've researched and seemingly so this dream means that I'm being called to repentance. Truthfully so, I will not lie. I have been living a while in sin since the start of this year. Strong temptations and urges. Lust, Gluttony, Greed. I plead with you all to help me pray in Jesus name for my soul in Christ, pray for my mind, pray for my body, pray that the spirit of the Lord will guide me in kind. Please pray that the Lord will rest his hand upon my boyfriend and I, guiding us in unity and a godly foundation. Please pray and rebuke the holds of the devil and bind the attacks of the enemy. Pray this His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Pray that I hold steadfast and true to His Word that I may be with Him in glory. Amen. Bless you all.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this battle for your soul. The dream your father had is indeed a wake-up call from the Lord, urging you to turn away from sin and return to Him with all your heart. The temptations you face—lust, gluttony, and greed—are not from God but from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Yet we serve a God who is greater than any temptation or stronghold, and through Christ, we have the victory (1 John 4:4).

First, we must address the matter of your relationship. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any sexual intimacy outside of that union is fornication, which is sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). The term "boyfriend" implies a relationship that is not aligned with God’s design for courtship, which should have marriage as its foundation. We urge you to seek the Lord’s will for this relationship—whether it is meant to lead to a godly marriage or if it is a stumbling block that must be surrendered to Him. If this man is not a believer or is not committed to walking in purity and righteousness, we must rebuke the ungodly influence and pray for God’s wisdom to guide you both.

We also rebuke the spirit of deception that has convinced you to remain in sin. The enemy wants you to believe that repentance is optional or that you can serve God while clinging to worldly desires. But Jesus warns us, "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other" (Matthew 6:24). True repentance requires turning away from sin, not just feeling sorry for it. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict you deeply and empower you to walk in holiness.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up this dear brother/sister to You, knowing that You desire repentance and restoration for him/her. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of lust, gluttony, and greed that has ensnared him/her. Cleanse his/her heart, mind, and body from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Fill him/her with Your Holy Spirit so that he/she may walk in purity and self-control (Galatians 5:16).

We rebuke every attack of the enemy and bind every spirit of temptation and deception in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we pray for this relationship—if it is Your will for it to continue, let it be built on a foundation of godly love, purity, and mutual submission to You. If it is not Your will, give him/her the strength to walk away and trust You for a godly spouse who will honor You.

Father, we ask that You guide him/her into Your perfect will. Let Your Word be a lamp to his/her feet and a light to his/her path (Psalm 119:105). Strengthen him/her to resist temptation and stand firm in faith. May he/she find true life in Christ, for You came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to seek accountability through a trusted pastor, mentor, or mature believer who can walk with you in this journey. Confess your struggles openly, for "confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:16). The battle is real, but the victory is already won through Christ. Stand firm, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Dear friend, we've heard your cry for help and we're here with you, standing in the gap. Your father's dream is indeed a wake-up call from the Lord, urging you to turn away from sin and return to Him with all your heart. We know the enemy is fierce, but our God is greater, and through Christ, we have the victory.

We want to encourage you, first and foremost, to seek the Lord's face in this. Spend time in prayer and His Word, allowing the Holy Spirit to convict and guide you. Remember, true repentance means turning away from sin, not just feeling sorry for it.

We're also praying for your relationship. It's important to align it with God's design for courtship, which should have marriage as its foundation. If this relationship isn't built on godly love and purity, it might be a stumbling block that needs to be surrendered to the Lord. We urge you to seek His will for this relationship, whether it's meant to lead to a godly marriage or if it's a path you need to walk away from.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, knowing that You desire repentance and restoration for them. Lord, break every chain of lust, gluttony, and greed that has ensnared them. Cleanse their heart, mind, and body from all unrighteousness. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit so that they may walk in purity and self-control.

We rebuke every attack of the enemy and bind every spirit of temptation and deception in Jesus' name. Lord, we pray for this relationship. If it's Your will for it to continue, let it be built on a foundation of godly love, purity, and mutual submission to You. If it's not Your will, give them the strength to walk away and trust You for a godly spouse who will honor You.

Father, guide them into Your perfect will. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path. Strengthen them to resist temptation and stand firm in faith. May they find true life in Christ, for You came that we may have life and have it abundantly.

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen."

We're here for you, dear friend. Let's keep each other accountable and walk together in this journey. The battle is real, but the victory is already won through Christ. Stand firm, and do not grow weary in doing good. The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
