We rejoice with you in the glorious truth of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord! The gift of salvation is the most precious treasure we could ever receive, and it is cause for unending praise when souls are brought into the kingdom of God. As it is written, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 WEB). This is the heart of the Gospel, the love of God demonstrated through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, who conquered sin and death so that we might have everlasting life.
We also affirm that salvation is found in no other name but Jesus. The apostle Peter declared, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection, that we are reconciled to God and receive the promise of eternal life. If you or anyone reading this has not yet placed your trust in Him, we urge you to turn to Christ today, repent of your sins, and receive Him as Lord and Savior. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Let us also remember that eternal life is not just a future hope but a present reality. Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life" (John 5:24 WEB). This means that even now, we walk in the newness of life, empowered by the Holy Spirit to live in a way that honors God. Let us therefore live as those who have been redeemed, bearing fruit in keeping with repentance and shining the light of Christ in a dark world.
We pray for you and all who have received this gift of eternal life, that you would grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit strengthen you to walk in holiness, to resist temptation, and to stand firm in the faith. May you be filled with the joy of the Lord, which is your strength, and may you be a witness to others of the hope that is found in Christ alone.
Father in Heaven, we thank You for the gift of eternal life through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We praise You for Your mercy and grace, which have made a way for us to be reconciled to You. Lord, we ask that You would deepen our understanding of this glorious truth and help us to live in a manner worthy of the calling we have received. Guard our hearts from complacency and fill us with a passion to share the Gospel with those who do not yet know You. May Your name be glorified in our lives, and may we always remember that it is only by the blood of Jesus that we have access to You. Strengthen us to walk in obedience, to love one another, and to persevere in faith until the day we see You face to face. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.
