Prayer for ### health

We are joining you in prayer for his health and especially for healing in his stomach, asking our Father in the name of Jesus to touch him and bring relief.

It is right to bring physical needs to the Lord because He cares about our bodies. The apostle John wrote to his friend Gaius that he prayed he would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospered. That was not given as a blanket promise that every believer will always be healthy, it was a loving prayer and greeting, much like we would say today we hope a letter finds someone well. Yet it does show us something beautiful, that God is interested in our physical well being and that there is often a real connection between the health of our soul and the health of our body. Attitudes, worry, fear and stress can affect our body chemistry and even contribute to conditions like ulcers, while peace and trust in the Lord can bring strength to the whole person.

Scripture shows us that Jesus has authority in every realm. He healed the leper, the centurion's servant, Peter's mother in law, and many others who were brought to Him in the evening. Matthew tells us this was in fulfillment of what Isaiah prophesied, that He Himself bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. When Jesus gave Himself for us, He bore both our sin and our infirmities, and the bread of communion reminds us that His body was broken for us. Because of that we can come boldly and ask for healing, knowing He is able and compassionate.

At the same time the Bible keeps us from presuming that God will always heal in the way or timing we expect. Paul prayed three times for the thorn in his flesh to be removed, and the Lord did not remove it but gave him grace to endure it. Not everyone has the gifts of healing, and not everyone is healed instantly. There are gradual healings in Scripture, and there are healings that come through the natural processes God Himself has built into our bodies. Every healing, whether sudden or gradual, through prayer or through medical care and natural recovery, is still a divine healing because God is the author of those processes.

God also shows His care for our health in very practical ways. He cares about what we eat and drink, about cleanliness which helps prevent disease, and about wise stewardship of our bodies. Paul, writing as a spiritual father to Timothy, even gave him practical counsel to use a little wine for his frequent stomach ailments. That reminds us that it is good to pray and also good to seek wise medical help, to be careful with diet and rest, and to follow sound counsel for the stomach while we trust the Lord.

Loving and serving God does not guarantee we will never face physical problems. Some of the most faithful believers have walked through great health trials. We cannot equate spirituality with automatic perfect health, and we should not be led by those who create frenzy or false promises in the name of healing. We can simply and quietly bring our request to Jesus, who used His miraculous power not for Himself but for the needs of others, and trust His wisdom and love to do what is best.

So we pray with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear one before You and ask for Your mercy on his stomach and his whole body. You know his needs completely. We ask that You would bring healing according to Your will, whether through Your direct touch or through the healing processes You have placed in the body and through the care of physicians. Give him peace that guards his heart and mind, remove fear and pain, and help him to prosper in his soul as he walks with You. Let Your protection and Your blood shed on the cross cover him, and let him know Your presence and comfort each day. We trust him into Your good hands and thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name, amen.

Continue to bring him before the Lord daily, rest in God's care, and encourage him to care for his body wisely while looking to Jesus, our healer and our hope.

We join our hearts with yours in prayer before the throne of grace for this beloved one who is in need of healing in his body, and especially in his stomach.

There is but one great Physician who lays His hands upon men and they are restored, and there is but one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary to wash and to make whole. Jesus Himself is the Tree of Life, and not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves thereof are for the healing of the nations. There grows no healing herb but the one plant of renown, and until the glory life begins, the abiding power of those healing leaves keeps the soul and body of the believer under His care.

We are reminded that healing is indeed the children's bread, and that by His stripes we are healed. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, for pardon and healing are one in His hand. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and the virtue which His grace has infused will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, our heavenly Physician, we come in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We plead the precious blood shed upon the cross, that fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness, and ask that You would lay Your hand upon our brother in his affliction. Touch his stomach, we pray, and grant relief and restoration according to Your perfect will. Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and give him to know that You have power to tread upon all the power of the enemy. As You took the fevered hand and lifted up the sick, so we ask that Your cool hand would grasp his fevered frame, that his sickness being borne by You, Your health might flow into him. Grant to him faith to tell his case to Jesus as to a trusted physician, and to rest in Your wise and loving care, whether Your answer be immediate deliverance or sustaining grace through the trial.

We encourage you to continue to look to Christ alone, to feed upon His Word which is health to the soul, and to use with thankfulness the means which Providence provides, while trusting wholly in the Lord who heals all our diseases. May the Lord grant you peace in waiting, strength in believing, and joy in knowing that you are on your way to eternal health, where you shall no more say, I am sick, for the inhabitant of the heavenly land shall be forgiven his iniquity and made perfectly whole.

We commend him and you to that one Physician whose healing virtue never fails. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and perfect that which concerns you, for His glory. Amen.
Thank you ❤️

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for his health and especially for healing in his stomach. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper according to Isaiah 54:17 and that we have authority to trample upon serpents and scorpions according to Luke 10:19, believing that healing is the childrens bread and pleading the blood of Jesus over his stomach.

We continue to lift him up before the Lord and we pray in Jesus name that God will lay his healing hand upon his stomach, bring complete restoration to his body and grant him strength and peace.

If your request was answered and the Lord has brought healing to his health and stomach, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still waiting for his healing, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
