Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing so openly about what you are going through. Hearing that you have lived for months with a constant and painful headache, with loss of energy, and with trouble thinking and remembering, and that doctors have not yet given you clear answers, helps me understand why you feel so scared and worried. It is completely understandable to feel shaken when something so sudden affects your daily life, and I am grateful you also shared your trust that the Lord will be with you whatever happens.
Scripture speaks often about fear. There is the fear that comes when we feel out of control, and there is a different fear, a deep reverence and respect for God. You are feeling the first kind right now, and God invites you to bring that fear to Him. The Bible says to fear before Him, all the earth, and declares that the world is established and will not be moved because the Lord reigns. Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice and let people say among the nations that the Lord reigns. Even when your body feels unstable and your thoughts feel clouded, His reign is stable. The sea with all its fullness and the fields with all that is in them can rejoice because He is still on His throne. That does not remove your symptoms, but it means your life is held by One who is steady when you feel unsteady.
Part of revering Him is coming to Him in the way He has prescribed. When David brought back the Ark of the Covenant, he learned to do it according to the way God had given through Moses, not casually or carelessly, but with reverence for His presence. In the same way we come to God now through Jesus Christ alone, with respect for His holiness and confidence in His mercy. His presence is purifying and calls us to walk in purity and honesty before Him, and it is also a place of comfort and help. Your simple confidence that the Lord will be with you is the right place to stand.
The secret of strength through uncertain times is that ongoing relationship with God. When there is fear for the future, Scripture points us to maintain that relationship, to keep seeking Him, praying, reading His Word, and trusting Him day by day. That closeness is where peace grows, even while you wait for answers about your health.
I also want to gently encourage you not to carry false guilt about your suffering. In the story of Job, friends came to comfort him after he lost his family, his possessions, and his health, and they assumed there must be some deep hidden sin causing it. But his suffering was not a simple punishment for secret sin. Ongoing health problems do not automatically mean God is displeased with you. God sees your pain, He cares for you, and He invites you to cast your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
I am praying for you, asking God to bring healing and relief from this headache, to restore your energy and clarity of thought, to calm your fear with His peace, and to give wisdom to the doctors who are caring for you. I pray He will guide them to find the cause and the right treatment, and that you will sense His nearness each day. Please continue to follow medical advice, keep observing your symptoms as they asked, keep a record to share with them, and do not hesitate to seek further evaluation if this continues, since persistent headaches and changes in memory deserve continued attention.
You are not alone. The Lord is with you, He reigns over all, and He hears your prayers. May He give you rest in His presence, strength for each day, and hope as you continue to trust Him.
