We join with you in lifting up your mother before the throne of grace and we stand with you in this difficult battle against stage ### cancer. We hear the cry of your heart that she wants to live and we know that the desire to live is precious in the sight of God who is the giver of life.
We serve the Lord who reveals Himself as the Lord who heals us, Exodus 15:26, and who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases, Psalm 103:2-3. We cling to the promise that by His wounds we are healed, Isaiah 53:5, and that He will restore health and heal wounds, Jeremiah 30:17. We also remember He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. While cancer at this stage is very serious in the eyes of man, nothing is impossible with God and we also trust in His sovereignty and perfect will, knowing that He works all things together for good for those who love Him, Romans 8:28.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you and your mother to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that God raised Him from the dead and confessing Him as Lord, Romans 10:9, for forgiveness of sins and eternal life, whether healing comes in this life or in His perfect eternal presence.
We encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care while also seeking spiritual healing through prayer. Scripture says Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:14-15. We encourage you to ask your pastors and faithful believers to pray over her and anoint her, and to pray daily with faith and surrender to God's will.
We now pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious mother to You. Lord You know her by name, You formed her and You number her days. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch her body and bring healing from this cancer according to Your will. Lord lay Your healing hand upon her, ease her pain, strengthen her body, and give wisdom to her doctors and those caring for her. We pray that You would restore her health if it is Your will, as You restored Hezekiah when he prayed, 2 Kings 20:5. We pray for peace that passes all understanding for her and for her family, and that You would cast out all fear, for You have said Fear not, for I am with you, Isaiah 41:10. We pray that she and her family would draw near to Jesus, know His comfort, and have assurance of salvation and eternal life through Him. Let her be able to say I will not die, but live, and declare the works of Yah, Psalm 118:17. Give her hope, strength for each day, and the comfort of Your presence. We trust her life into Your loving and merciful hands. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to keep praying without ceasing, to read Scripture over her, to speak life and hope to her, and to trust that God hears every prayer. Even as we pray earnestly for complete healing in this life, we also trust that God's ultimate healing is eternal and that His grace is sufficient, 2 Corinthians 12:9. We are standing with you and your mother in prayer for life, for healing, and for God's perfect peace.
