Beloved of All
We join with you in lifting up your friend and brother in Christ before the Lord and we thank you for bringing his needs with such care and faith.
We pray that our merciful Father would meet him in this season of debt and need, that He would make a way for him to climb out of this hole and that He would give him wisdom to steward his finances and every part of his life for the glory of God. We ask that the Lord would teach him through His Word and by His Spirit to be faithful in little and in much, to walk in diligence, honesty and contentment, and to trust not in riches but in the living God who richly provides.
We pray that his trust in the Lord would grow stronger through this trial, that he would not only hear and discern the voice of God in Scripture but would be strengthened to obey without delay. May the Holy Spirit empower him to do the hard things God is calling him to do, to walk in obedience even when it is costly, and to follow the wisdom and guidance the Lord gives.
We ask the Lord to deliver him from fear, anxiety, hopelessness, depression, apathy, cynicism, negativity, pride, self hatred, envy and from love for the things of this world. In their place we pray God would fill him with faith, humility, hope and a renewed mind, and that he would set his affections on Christ.
We pray that he would be rooted in the Word of God daily and planted deeply in Christian community where he can be encouraged, corrected and built up. We pray also for his health, that the Lord would restore him according to His perfect will, that He would give him faith to believe for healing and that He would show His power and compassion in his body.
Above all we pray that God would give him clear direction and purpose for his life, that he would know the calling God has for him and walk in it with peace, joy and hope that come from knowing Christ and being led by Him.
We stand with you in asking these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, trusting that God hears, that He is faithful, and that He will work all things for good for those who love Him. Amen.
