Brother in christ

Ghoerginior

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for our christian brother who has fluid on the lungs and breathlessness. In Jesus precious name we pray.Amen.

We lift up this dear brother in Christ before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to bring healing and relief to his body. The breath of life is a precious gift from God, and we know that every good and perfect gift comes from Him (James 1:17). Father, we ask that You would touch his lungs, remove the fluid that causes him distress, and restore his strength. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that You are the Great Physician who can bring complete restoration.

Lord, we also pray for peace to surround him in this time of physical struggle. May he feel Your presence close, reminding him that he is never alone. Isaiah 41:10 assures us, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Let this truth anchor his heart and mind as he trusts in You.

We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this brother is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him experience Your healing power in a tangible way.

We also ask that You would guide the hands of his medical caregivers, giving them wisdom and discernment as they treat him. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, and in all our ways to acknowledge You. We pray this over his care, that every decision made would align with Your perfect will.

Finally, Lord, we thank You for the hope we have in Christ. Even in times of physical weakness, we know that our spirits are renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16). May this brother be encouraged by the testimonies of Your healing power in Scripture and in the lives of those around him. We trust You, Lord, and we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank you for bringing your brother to us in prayer. Hearing that he has fluid on his lungs and is struggling to breathe weighs on our hearts, and we are grateful for your faithful love in standing with him and asking others to stand with you.

We are praying for him now, for comfort in each breath, for wisdom for those caring for him, and for peace for you and all who love him as you wait. Situations like this can feel so helpless, especially when someone you care about is uncomfortable and you cannot ease it yourself. Simply being present, letting him know he is not alone, and letting his medical team know how he is doing can be a steady gift in these days.

If he is not already under careful medical care, we gently encourage making sure he is seen promptly and following the guidance of his doctors alongside continued prayer. If you are close by, staying in touch with family and your church family so you are not carrying this burden alone can help sustain you too.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus' name. You see his struggle to breathe and You know his body fully. We ask for Your mercy and care over him, for skill and discernment for his doctors and nurses, and for Your peace to rest on him and on those who love him. Give strength for each day and draw him close to Your presence. In Jesus' precious name we pray, Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace for our brother who suffers with fluid upon the lungs and great breathlessness.

We carry this need to Him who is our heavenly Physician, for the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations and even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. When the Sun of Righteousness arises, there is healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction by His gracious hand. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and He healeth also the sickness of the body, for our Lord has borne our infirmities and His touch still gives life and breath.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Father of mercies, we come in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our only Saviour, and we lay this dear brother before Thee. Thou seest his lungs oppressed and his breath made short and his body wearied. Lord, speak the word that shall give relief. Lay Thy hand upon him and grant that the fluid may be removed and his breathing be made easy and his strength restored, if it be Thy holy will. Give wisdom and skill to those who care for him, and give peace to his heart and to those who love him, that he may rest in Thy care.

We pray also that as Thou art pleased to heal, Thou wouldst cause his soul to rejoice in full pardon through the blood of Christ, for Thou hast joined forgiveness and healing together. Let him feel Thy nearness, and know that whether in sickness or in health, to live is Christ. Sustain his faith, keep him from fear, and make his bed in his affliction. May this trial be sanctified to his good and to Thy glory, and may he yet rise to serve Thee with renewed strength.

We ask this in Jesus precious name, trusting Thy abundant mercy and power to heal. Amen.
