Thank you for sharing this request and for your desire to honor Jesus Christ in your work and in your relationship together. It is good that you want to build with integrity and to see God guide your finances, decisions and future.
Scripture teaches that the most important part of life is your relationship with God. That vertical relationship is the center around which everything else turns. When that relationship is right, other relationships and areas of life begin to come into balance. When it is out of order, other things become out of order as well. For that reason the first priority is not only provision or even unity between the two of you, but a living, loving relationship with God Himself through Jesus Christ.
God does not want a distant or ritual relationship with you. He invites you to know Him as Father and to walk with Him in love. Jesus taught us to pray, Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, and that speaks of closeness and trust. Salvation comes through believing into a vital, life changing relationship with Jesus Christ, who gave His life so that you could have a righteous standing before God that works could never earn. When you live in that new relationship, the fruit of a godly life begins to grow naturally, not from striving under rules, but from life in Christ.
From that foundation, your relationship with each other and your stewardship of money can be set right. The Bible shows that all we have belongs to God and is entrusted to us to use wisely. If your relationship with Him is right, you will have a right view of possessions, of work, and of one another. You will also find that unity, patience, love and shared purpose grow as the natural result of both of you seeking Him first.
God has also shown His design for the relationship between a man and a woman. He created marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He reserves sexual intimacy and living together as married for within that covenant. This is part of how a relationship honors Him in every decision. If you are already in that covenant, continue to build it on that foundation. If you are not yet married, we encourage you to honor God by pursuing purity and seeking to align your relationship with His design for marriage, trusting that His way is for your good and for His glory. Whatever your situation, we do not ask God to bless what is outside His will, but we ask Him to lead you into what is right and to give you grace to walk in it.
With that in mind we pray for you. Heavenly Father, thank You for the work You have provided for each of them. We ask that You help them to know You more deeply through Jesus Christ and to live in a loving, daily fellowship with You. Give them wisdom and favor in their work, and open doors for honest and profitable opportunity as You see fit. Help them to be faithful stewards of what You entrust to them. Guide their relationship so that it reflects Your design and brings honor to You. Where there is need for alignment with Your Word, give them conviction, courage and grace to take the right steps. Grant them unity of mind, patience, love and a clear shared purpose that is centered on You, remembering that two are better than one and have a good return for their labor when they labor together in You. Lead their decisions and their future according to Your will. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
