Prayer for evil horrible co-workers fired held accountable

Please pray for me urgently. I reported some people at work that treat me terribly, horribly mean, cruel, not even like a human being, verbally abusive, etc., going on for a long time, months and years now, for some people, many co-workers, trying to get them written up, fired, terminated, punished, justice held accountable. All bad treatment of me by co-workers, employees, to stop and for the employees that have treated me terribly for so long to finally get fired, terminated, held accountable, brought to justice since store level management did nothing. I emailed high-ranking corporate people to take care of it for me. I will be talking to someone on phone later today soon please pray it goes well for me! Please pray for me God softens their hearts and they believe me and care and are empathetic, sympathetic, compassionate, kind, take pity on me, feel sorry for me and my case and believe me and will do something, take action and terminate, fire, punish, get rid of all the horrible employees and co-workers that make my life miserable. Please, thanks so much I really do appreciate it. Hope God answers prayers soon! Yesterday was my birthday so if these people are punished held accountable and fired it will be the best birthday gift ever hoping and praying for the best please pray for me as well!

We have read your request and we are standing with you in prayer, for we hear the deep pain and exhaustion in your words after enduring cruel, verbally abusive and dehumanizing treatment for months and even years. No one should be treated as less than a human being, and God sees every unkind word and every injustice you have suffered. We know this burden has weighed heavily on you, and we are grieved that store level management did nothing to protect you. The Lord is near to those who are hurting, as it is written Psalm 34:18 Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 10:17-18 says Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.

We understand your longing for justice and for those who have harmed you to be held accountable, and it is right to desire justice, for God Himself loves justice Psalm 37:28 For Yahweh loves justice. It is also right that you have appealed to the proper authorities, for God has established authorities to restrain evil, and going to corporate leadership when local management fails is a biblical and lawful way to seek protection Romans 13:3-4. We are praying that the phone call you have today goes well, that the Lord will soften the hearts of those high-ranking corporate people, that they will listen with empathy, compassion and clarity, believe the truth of what you have endured, and take righteous and fair action to stop the abuse and to bring accountability where it is needed. We pray Proverbs 21:15 that justice will be done and that your workplace will become safe and respectful.

At the same time we want to gently share what the Word teaches us about our own hearts when we have been deeply wronged. It is natural to want those who hurt us to be punished and even to feel that their termination would be a gift to you, especially after suffering so long and after your birthday yesterday, which we pray was still a reminder that God values your life and has purpose for you. Yet Scripture calls us to leave vengeance in God's hands and not to let bitterness take root. Romans 12:19 says Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Romans 12:21 says Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Jesus calls us to a higher way even toward those who mistreat us, Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. This does not mean what they did was acceptable, it was sinful and God rebukes all cruelty, harsh speech and oppression, Ephesians 4:29 says Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up. What it does mean is that while we pray for justice and for the abuse to stop, we also pray for our own hearts to be kept from hatred and for even those cruel co-workers to come to repentance and to know Christ, Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find peace even in unjust suffering.

We lift you up now together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring this dear one before Your throne of grace. You have seen every tear, heard every harsh word spoken against them, and known the loneliness of being mistreated for so long. We ask You to comfort them today, to heal the wounds in their heart, and to remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved by You. Lord, we ask for favor and wisdom in the phone conversation today, that the corporate leaders will listen with understanding, take pity with godly compassion, discern the truth, and act with fairness to stop all abusive behavior and to hold accountable those who have done wrong according to what is just. We pray You would restrain any further retaliation or cruelty at work, protect this child of Yours, and provide a work environment marked by respect and dignity. Soften the hearts of those co-workers as well, convict them of their sin, and bring them to repentance if they do not know You. And Father, guard the heart of the one we pray for, keep them from bitterness or a desire for revenge, fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, while still trusting Your perfect justice. May Your will be done, and may this person experience Your presence as their true birthday gift and daily strength. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk with integrity at work as Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, keep a clear written record of what has happened, seek wise godly counsel, and continue to pray not only for justice but for your own peace and for the salvation of those who have hurt you. God hears you, He cares, and He will act according to His perfect wisdom and timing. We are praying that you will feel His nearness and that His justice and mercy will be evident in the days ahead.

We hear how worn down you are after months and years of being spoken to so harshly, and how much you want to finally be heard and believed. Being treated as less than human at work leaves a deep mark, and it makes sense you would long for justice and for relief, especially going into an important phone call today. We also noticed yesterday was your birthday, we are sorry this burden was so heavy on a day that should have felt lighter, and we are glad you reached out.

We are praying with you for that call, that you are able to speak clearly and calmly and that those listening hear you with care and fairness. One small thing that often helps before a call like this is to jot down two or three brief, factual examples with dates and what was said or done, and what you are hoping will happen next, so you don't have to hold it all in memory while you are nervous. If you can, have a trusted friend or pastor know you are making the call, and take notes during it about what is promised.

You deserve a safe and dignified workplace, and we will keep asking God to guide the people who have responsibility to address this wisely and justly, and to give you wisdom and peace in the days ahead.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus' name. You see how long this has hurt and how much he wants to be heard today. Give him steadiness on the phone, grant listening ears and fair judgment to those he speaks with, protect him at work, and lead him toward healing and wise next steps. Amen.

Your cry has been heard, and the long sorrow you have carried under cruel and unkind treatment is not hidden from the Lord who sees all that is done under the sun. To be treated as less than human, to bear verbal abuse for months and years, is a heavy burden, and it is right to seek help and to desire that what is wrong should be made right. It is also right that on the day after your birthday you should long for peace instead of pain.

Yet the Word of God would guide your prayers into a better channel than the destruction of those who have wronged you. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He has said, vengeance is mine, I will repay. The authorities set over you in your workplace bear a responsibility to act justly, and it is lawful to ask them to do what is right and to protect those in their care. We can and will pray that your conversation with those in authority today may be heard with clarity, wisdom and true fairness, and that whatever is untrue or unjust would be corrected.

But we cannot pray that God would simply punish and terminate all who have made your life miserable as a birthday gift, nor that He would delight with you in their ruin. The Scriptures teach us to desire justice without delighting in bitterness, and to pray even for those who have used us despitefully. Our Lord says, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. This is not because the wrong is light, but because we ourselves have needed a far greater forgiveness.

There is forgiveness with God, and it is found only through the blood of Jesus Christ. He bore the punishment that we deserved, so that God might be just and yet the justifier of him that believes in Jesus. If you have trusted in Christ, then God for Christ's sake has forgiven you, not for a moment only, but continuously and eternally. That same forgiveness is the pattern set before you, be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. Where God begins a work of grace He will complete it, and part of that work is to soften our own hearts, that we do not become hardened by the unkindness of others.

So let us pray together in a way that honors Christ. We will pray that the Lord will guard you from further harm, grant you favour and a clear voice as you speak today, and move the hearts of those in authority to listen with compassion, discernment and honesty, to act with justice tempered by mercy, and to do what is truly right before God. We will pray that the Lord will work in the hearts of those coworkers who have spoken and acted cruelly, to bring them to see their sin and to seek forgiveness, both from God and from you. And we will pray most of all for your own heart, that you may find that calm so deep which is the peace of God that passes all understanding, that you may be kept from bitterness, and that you may trust not in the mercy of men alone, but in the living God who is your light when clouds surround you and your might when storms rage around you.

If the burden of sin or of sorrow presses upon you, look to the Son of God pouring out His life for sinners, and trust Him. He will save all who come to Him, for He cannot cast away the soul that trusts in Christ. Take God at His word, believe Him, and you will find that He is as real to those who trust Him as if they could see Him.

May the Lord grant you wisdom for this day, protection in your workplace, a just and peaceable resolution, and a heart that rests in Christ and learns to forgive as you have been forgiven.
