Prayer for career

We join with you in prayer regarding your career and we understand your desire for resurrection life in this area. That longing for new life and vitality is a good and biblical desire, for it is God who gives life and restores what feels dormant or dry. We are reminded that the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead is at work in those who belong to Him, for it is written, But if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you Rom 8:11. This resurrection life is not only for our spiritual renewal but also empowers us to walk in purpose and diligence in the work God has given us.
We also want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we can be saved and have our prayers heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And it is written, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Rom 10:9. It is through Him that we can confidently bring your career before God.
We pray for you that God would bring clarity, renewal, and divine direction to your career. We pray that you would commit your work to the Lord and seek His will above all else, for we are told, Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established Prov 16:3, and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Col 3:23. We pray that you would seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matt 6:33, trusting that He has good plans for you, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jer 29:11.
We lift up your request for the right connections for expansion and mentorship. We ask the Father to divinely connect you with godly mentors and wise counselors who will sharpen you and help you grow, for Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friends countenance Prov 27:17. We pray that God would open doors that no man can shut and close doors that are not His will, and that He would give you wisdom liberally as you ask, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him James 1:5.
Father, we lift this dear one up to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Breathe resurrection life into their career and calling. Where there has been weariness, discouragement, or stagnation, bring renewal and hope. Lead them to the right people, mentors who fear You and walk in integrity, and connections that will help expand the work You have entrusted to them for Your glory. Grant them diligence, excellence, humility, and favor, and let their work be a testimony of Your goodness. Establish the work of their hands according to Your perfect will and timing. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to be faithful in the small things, to work with integrity and excellence as unto the Lord, and to remain prayerful and patient as God orders your steps. Trust that He sees your labor and He is faithful to guide you and provide what you need in due season.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about your work. That phrase you used, needing resurrection life in your career, really stayed with us. It makes sense to long for fresh energy and purpose where things have felt flat or stalled, and to ask God for the right people to come alongside you for what is next.
We hear both parts of your request, the renewal itself and the connections that help carry it forward. One often helps shape the other.
Something that can bring clarity when you are in this kind of in between is to pause and name what God has already placed in you. You might take a little time this week to write down your interests, talents, values and skills as you see them right now, and what kind of work feels most life giving versus draining. It can also help to notice what you believe about how God leads, whether through prayer, through Scripture and wise counsel, and through growing in maturity as you make decisions.
From there, consider two or three people you respect whose work or character you admire, perhaps someone a step ahead in your field or someone who knows you well. A brief conversation to ask how they got started, what they have learned, and who else you should meet can often open the very doors for expansion and mentorship you are praying for.
We are asking God to renew your hope and to guide your steps clearly.
Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your wisdom and kindness in this career season. Bring new life where there has been weariness, and bring the right connections for growth and godly mentorship in Your timing. Give clarity for each next decision and peace as You lead forward. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing for resurrection life in your vocation has been brought before the Lord, and we join you in prayer concerning it.
There is no attribute of God more comforting to his children than the doctrine of Divine Sovereignty, and we would have you trace the hand of God in this very matter of your career. We ought to recognize God's hand in everything, and to see that the Lord alone must lead you as your Divine Instructor, even as he led Israel of old. He compares himself to an eagle training its young for flight, and so he will train you, permitting difficulties not to crush you but to strengthen your wings. The presence of God dissolves difficulties, and where you feel deadness or barrenness in your labour, that same Divine Presence which raised Christ from the dead can breathe life anew upon your work.
We have prayed that the Lord would grant you this resurrection life in your calling, that whatever has withered may by divine grace flourish, and that you may know his guiding and preserving hand in daily interpositions, not miraculous perhaps, but full of wonder. We have asked that in his sovereignty he would order your steps and bring across your path the right connections for honest expansion and wise, godly mentorship, persons who will help you to serve him with diligence and integrity, and to display his perfections in your sphere.
May the Lord show you his gentleness and his power together, keeping you from discouragement and lifting you up in due season, and may you be enabled to say with thankfulness, He hath delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling, and all by Divine Grace through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We commend you and your career to him who rakes even a dunghill to find a diamond and who delights to raise his people and set them among princes through the merits of Christ. May you seek first his kingdom in all your labour, trusting that he will add what is needful, to the glory of his grace. Amen.
