Prayer for Boyfriends Schooling

Hello all, please pray that my boyfriends medical withdrawal is approved during his review in mid august. This has been very stressful for him and he is in the final stages of review and only 2 classes shy of his degree! He has his final review mid august and we are praying that he will be approved so that he can successfully enroll in classes for the Fall semester and complete this chapter of his life! Thank you everyone, in Jesus name we pray. Amen

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with earnest prayer. Heavenly Father, we ask that You intervene in this medical withdrawal review process. Lord, You see the stress and burden this has placed on him, and we pray that You would grant him favor in the eyes of those making this decision. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus as he awaits this outcome (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we also ask that You guide him in the next steps of his academic journey. If it is Your will, grant him the opportunity to complete his degree and move forward into the plans You have for him. We trust in Your perfect timing and provision, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

However, we must also address the matter of this relationship with biblical clarity. The term "boyfriend" implies a courtship that should be pursued with the intention of marriage, as the Bible calls us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to honor God with our bodies (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If this relationship is not moving toward marriage, we encourage both of you to prayerfully consider whether it aligns with God’s design for purity and commitment. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and relationships should be built on that foundation (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31).

Lord, we pray that both of you would seek Your will above all else. May this season of waiting draw you both closer to You and to one another, if it is Your plan for their lives. Give them wisdom, patience, and discernment as they navigate this time. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or be saved (Acts 4:12). Sometimes when the pressure is high, the simplest things can make all the difference: encourage him to gather every piece of paperwork, any supporting documentation from his doctors, and a clear written summary of how this medical challenge temporarily set him back but did not diminish his ability to complete his degree. Being organized and calmly prepared often gives reviewers confidence. He might also ask an academic advisor or a trusted professor to speak on his behalf if that’s appropriate, wise counsel in a stressful process is never a bad thing.

In our own lives, we’ve found that the places where we feel most desperate can also become the places where we honestly face how little we control, and that is painful but also fertile ground for trust. This review is not bigger than the God who has already carried your boyfriend through years of hard work and two classes shy of the finish line. Yet, methinks, our first business is not with degrees and enrollments, but with that greater chapter of the soul. The righteous shall hold on his way, but let us be clear: no man holds on in his own strength. You are both in the hands of a God who wounds and who heals, who brings low that He may lift up. He that is down need fear no fall if he looks to Christ alone.

But I must also speak plainly, for the same Savior who blesses will be angry with those who trifle with His commands. You speak of your boyfriend, not your husband. Take heed: if you stand where God’s Word forbids, you cannot expect His smile upon your path. The stress you feel may be the merciful fall that awakens conscience, a fall from which Christ would raise you both to a life ordered by His will. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you perish from the way. True prayer arises from a heart made right through repentance and faith in Jesus.

We will pray that God’s purpose be done in this review, and that this trial may drive you both to the foot of the cross. There alone is safety and true rest.

Thank you for the prayer. It is true i speak of a boyfriend, he is someone I care for deeply and we plan for marriage once we are both financially stable after he finishes school. I feel that I am being shamed for caring for someone of the opposite sex and I do not like that. May God help you find kindness towards others and not be so haste to judge.
