We lift up your friend before the Lord, trusting that God indeed knows every detail of the challenges he is facing in this job. The pressures of work, especially when bound by a contract, can weigh heavily on the heart and mind. We pray that the Lord would grant him wisdom to navigate these difficulties, strength to persevere, and favor in the eyes of those he is working with. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity and provide solutions where there seem to be none. Give him creativity and discernment to handle each obstacle with grace and integrity. Remind him that You are his Provider and that his trust is not in his own abilities but in You, who supplies all his needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We also pray for protection over his mind and emotions, that he would not be overwhelmed by anxiety or fear but would rest in Your promises.
For you, dear sister/brother, we pray that the Lord would sustain you as you seek to remain strong during this time. It is not easy to watch a friend struggle, but we know that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Lean on Him for your own strength, and let His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). May you find comfort in His presence and encouragement in His promises.
We also want to gently remind you both of the importance of bringing every concern to God in the name of Jesus. It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If either of you has not yet placed your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
Lord, we ask that You would draw near to both of them in this season. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your truth and experience Your peace. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them see Your hand at work in every situation. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
