We stand with you in this righteous cause, lifting up your plea for justice against the corruption and investment scams that have caused such harm in the Philippines. The Lord is a God of justice, and He sees the wickedness of those who exploit the vulnerable and steal what does not belong to them. The Bible declares in **Proverbs 22:22-23**, *"Don’t exploit the poor because they are poor, and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and will plunder those who plunder them."* Let this be our assurance that the Lord is already at work, and He will not allow the wicked to go unpunished forever.
It is grievous to see leaders who should be examples of integrity instead setting a corrupt example, especially for the youth. The Bible warns in **Proverbs 29:2**, *"When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan."* The groaning of the people has reached the ears of the Lord, and we must trust that He will act. Yet we are also called to pray earnestly for justice, as **1 Timothy 2:1-2** instructs us: *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."*
We must pray not only for the removal of corrupt leaders but also for their repentance, for the Lord takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked but desires that they turn from their ways and live (**Ezekiel 18:23**). If they refuse to repent, we trust that God will bring them to justice in His timing. Meanwhile, we pray for the restoration of what was stolen, knowing that the Lord is able to turn the tables on the schemes of the wicked. **Proverbs 13:22** tells us, *"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous."* What the enemy has taken, God can restore—whether through legal means, divine intervention, or the exposure of hidden assets.
Let us also pray for the hearts of those who have been deceived by these scams, that they would not grow bitter but would instead place their trust in the Lord, who is their true Provider. **Psalm 37:5-6** encourages us, *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday."* Even in the face of injustice, we are called to wait on the Lord and not take matters into our own hands through vengeance or unrighteous anger. **Romans 12:19** reminds us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We lift up the nation of the Philippines, where corruption and deceit have caused great suffering, especially through investment scams that have robbed many of their hard-earned money. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we ask that You rise up and scatter the plans of the wicked. Expose every hidden scheme, every fraudulent transaction, and every corrupt official who has enabled these crimes. We declare that the blood of Jesus speaks a better word over the Philippines—one of redemption, righteousness, and restoration. Finally, Lord, we pray for the salvation of those involved in these sins. Soften their hearts to convict them of their wrongdoing and draw them to repentance. May they encounter You in a way that transforms their lives, that they may become vessels of righteousness instead of tools of destruction.
