We join you in lifting up the nation of the Philippines before the Lord, crying out against the sin of corruption and asking Him to establish justice, honesty, and righteousness in its government and among its people.
We know that corruption is not merely a political problem but a spiritual one, for it is rooted in greed, deceit, and the love of money which God condemns. The Scripture says, Proverbs 11:1 A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight. And again, Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people. When leaders take bribes, pervert justice, and oppress the poor, the whole nation groans, as it is written, Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan. God calls His people to seek justice actively, for Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. And Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can come boldly before His throne. Jesus said, John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of His shed blood and resurrection that our prayers are heard, and it is in His name we pray for the Philippines and for our own hearts to be kept from corruption.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son we come before You and we confess the sin of corruption that has wounded the Philippines. Lord, You see every secret transaction, every bribe, every dishonest scale, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask You to bring Your holy justice to that land. Expose what is done in darkness and bring it into the light, that those who abuse power would be held accountable. We pray You would raise up ethical leaders who fear You, who love truth and hate dishonest gain, who will defend the weak and maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed as You command in Psalm 82:3. Turn the hearts of those in authority as water in Your hand, Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. Grant repentance to corrupt officials and courage to honest ones to stand firm.
We pray for the Filipino people, that You would strengthen them to not participate in corruption themselves, but to act justly and walk humbly with You. May righteousness exalt that nation and may it be known as a people whose God is Yahweh, for Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
We also obey Your command to pray for those in authority, as it is written, 1 Timothy 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. We ask for honesty in every level of government, from the barangay to the highest office, and that the leaders of the Philippines would govern with wisdom, integrity, and compassion for the people they serve.
We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer and to live out this prayer in daily faithfulness, refusing to give or take bribes, speaking truth in love, and supporting leaders who demonstrate godly character. Trust that God hears the cries for justice and that He will act in His perfect timing, for He is a God of justice and mercy. We stand with you, asking the Lord to heal and bless the Philippines for His glory.

Beloved of All
We join you in bringing the Philippines before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to show His power against all corruption and to establish justice and righteousness in the land.
We pray to the God who is perfectly just and who cannot deny Himself. His justice was fully satisfied at the cross, where Christ bore the punishment for sin, and that same holy justice is the foundation of His throne. We ask that this divine justice would be reflected in the government of your nation, that dishonesty and bribery and the abuse of power would be exposed and brought to nothing, and that those who handle public trust would do so with clean hands and truthful lips.
We ask also that the Lord, who is able to overcome all corruption and evil propensity through Christ who strengthens His people, would work in the hearts of both rulers and citizens. May He raise up men and women of integrity, those who fear God and love truth more than gain, to lead with wisdom and honesty. Though our citizenship is ultimately in heaven and we are under Heaven's government, we are taught to pray for those in authority, that we may live peaceful lives and that the Lord's will may be done. May the Lord grant to the Philippines leaders who will love justice, hate covetousness, and seek the good of the people, and may He give the people courage to walk in honesty themselves.
We pray that God would be merciful to the nation, that He would restrain evil, encourage what is good, and cause righteousness to exalt the land. May He do this for His own glory, that all may see that He reigns and that His power alone can make a people holy and a nation just.

We have heard your request and we join you in praying for the Philippines, for justice to prevail and for honesty to take root in every level of government.
Scripture teaches that all sin is corruption, and that corruption is a change for the worse that defiles the soul. As it is written, all flesh had corrupted his way, and men can become corrupted in mind. The body itself is corruptible, but the soul was made to be incorruptible through virtue, through temperance, righteousness, courage and prudence. When sin enters, it brings a foul corruption that no outward law alone can cleanse. Therefore we pray not only for better policies, but for transformed hearts, for leaders and citizens who will turn from covetousness and deceit and walk in purity.
History shows that merely changing the form of government does not make a people better. Whether under popular leaders or kings or other rulers, there is no advantage in virtue unless there are just and faithful people to lead and to be led. Real reform must come from within, through hearts made incorruptible by God.
We take encouragement from the example of Erastus, the chamberlain of the city, who served in public office and yet was counted faithful in the Gospel. His life shows that the cares of government and the possession of influence need not be a hindrance to godliness, but can become a place where faithfulness shines. So we ask the Lord to raise up such ethical leaders in the Philippines today, men and women in every office, from barangay to national service, who will heed God, love truth, and serve without greed.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we ask You to have mercy on the Philippines. Expose what is hidden, bring justice where there has been injustice, and establish honesty where there has been deceit. Give wisdom and courage to those in authority that they may govern with integrity and with fear of You. Raise up leaders who love righteousness more than gain, who will not use office for selfish ends but for the good of the people. Strengthen Your people to live in incorruption through virtue, to reject bribes and falsehood, and to seek the treasures that do not perish. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our hope and our salvation. Amen.
