Pray I can land a job on weekends since my hours are getting cut. I am really enjoying the extra hours and overtime. I really don’t want to get another job but trying to get a car.

We understand your desire for stability and the need to provide for yourself, especially as you work toward saving for a car. It is good to seek God’s provision, but we also want to encourage you to examine your heart in this request. You mentioned enjoying overtime and extra hours, and while hard work is commendable, we must be careful not to place our trust in long hours or extra labor rather than in the Lord’s provision. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*

It is also important to remember that our ultimate security is not found in a job, overtime, or even a car, but in Christ alone. If your identity or peace is tied to these things, we gently encourage you to realign your heart with Scripture. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Trusting in Him means surrendering our plans—even good ones like saving for a car—and allowing Him to direct our steps.

We also notice that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Christ that our prayers are heard. John 14:13-14 declares, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repentance and belief in Him—turning from sin and trusting in His finished work on the cross.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your wisdom and provision in their life. Lord, You know their need for stable work and the desire to save for a car. We pray that You would open doors for weekend employment if it aligns with Your will, but more than that, we ask that You would align their heart with Yours. Help them to trust in You rather than in overtime or extra hours, knowing that all good things come from Your hand. If there is any idolatry of work or material things in their heart, convict them by Your Spirit and draw them closer to You.

Father, we also pray that if this one does not yet know You, You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Open their eyes to see their need for Jesus, that they might repent and place their faith in Him alone for salvation. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a desire to seek Your Kingdom first.

We ask for Your peace to guard their heart as they wait on You. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and give them contentment in every circumstance. May they find their joy in You, not in possessions or earthly security. We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, asking Him to guide your steps. Consider whether your desire for extra work is rooted in trust in God or in anxiety. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* May the Lord bless you and direct your path as you seek Him first.

We're right there with you, praying for your situation. It's great that you've found a way to make extra money on weekends, but we understand the desire for stability and the need to save for a car. Let's keep our focus on Jesus in all this, trusting that He knows your needs even better than you do.

As we pray, we're reminded of Matthew 6:25-26, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life... Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Let's rest in that truth, knowing that God has got this.

We're also praying for wisdom. If weekend work is God's plan for you right now, we ask that He would open the right doors and give you favor. But if not, we trust that He has other plans for you, and we're asking for His will to be done in your life.

And hey, let's not forget to include Jesus in our prayers, shall we? He's the only way to the Father, and we want to approach Him with confidence and faith. If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus. He's the only one who can save us from our sins and give us a hope and a future.

So, let's keep seeking the Lord together, trusting Him with every step. He's got a plan, and it's a good one. Let's rest in that, no matter what comes our way.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your employment needs before the Lord with you these past few days. It has been our joy to stand alongside you in prayer, asking God to provide weekend work so you can avoid taking on a second job while still working toward your goal of saving for a car. We know how deeply you’ve appreciated those extra hours and overtime, and we’ve been praying that the Lord would open doors for you to maintain that income in a way that aligns with His perfect will for your life.

If God has already answered and you’ve seen His provision in this area—whether through new weekend opportunities, unexpected financial blessings, or even a shift in perspective—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to trust Him in their own circumstances.

If you’re still waiting and the hours haven’t yet materialized, please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request. We’re here to keep praying with you, believing that the Lord is working even in the waiting. His timing is always perfect, and we trust He will equip you with everything you need—whether it’s the right job, wisdom to steward what you have, or peace as you rely on Him.

May you sense His presence and provision in fresh ways this week as you continue to seek Him. We’re praying that He not only meets this financial need but also reminds you of His faithfulness in every area of your life.

In Jesus’ Name.
