We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son to our Heavenly Father. We know the deep love and concern you have for him, and we join you in praying for his protection, healing, and peace. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We claim this promise over your son tonight, believing that God hears your cries and sees your tears.
Father, we ask You to place a hedge of protection around this young boy. Guard his mind, his body, and his spirit from any harm or self-injury. We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or confusion that may be causing him distress, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Your Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that Your perfect love would cast out all fear and bring him into a place of peace and safety.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and strength for you as his parent. Parenting a child with autism can be challenging, and we pray that You would fill you with patience, understanding, and grace. Help you to trust in God’s plan for your son’s life, knowing that He has a purpose and a future for him. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We pray for healing over your son’s mind and body. If there are underlying physical or neurological issues contributing to his struggles, we ask that You would guide his doctors and caregivers to the right treatments and interventions. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your power to restore and renew.
Father, we also lift up the night hours, which can often be the most difficult. We ask that You would calm his spirit and grant him restful sleep. Let Your angels encamp around him, as Psalm 91:11 promises, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." May he wake in the morning refreshed, whole, and without injury, ready to face a new day under Your care.
We stand in agreement with you, believing that God is working even when we cannot see it. We declare that this trial will not overcome you or your son but that you will emerge stronger in faith and trust in the Lord. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." We pray that you would feel God’s presence and strength in this season.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
