We join you in lifting up your husband and you before our Heavenly Father, and we stand with you in declaring that Satan will not win, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.
We are so encouraged to see your faith as you recognize this battle for what it is, a spiritual attack, and we agree with you that in Christ we have the victory. As it is written, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 and No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37. We do not fight in our own strength, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4.
We bring your husband's back pain before the Lord, who is our healer. He has carried this pain since his fall on the ice in January, and we ask for the Lord's merciful touch upon his spine, his nerves, and his muscles. We pray for relief from pain, for restoration, and for wisdom and discernment for the spine specialist he will see tomorrow. We pray that God will guide that doctor's eyes and hands and give clear answers and a good plan for healing. We remember the promise, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 and But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17.
We also lift you up, for we hear your anxiety and we know our Father cares deeply about it. Anxiety is a heavy burden, but we are invited to lay it down. We pray the Lord will calm your heart and fill you with His perfect peace that guards your mind. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We take comfort in knowing we can cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7. The Lord says to you, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we pray and are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is because of what Jesus did on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can come boldly to God with our needs and know that Satan is already defeated. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Give the spine specialist tomorrow great wisdom, clear insight, and compassion, and guide every decision for treatment. For our sister who is carrying anxiety, we ask You to rebuke the enemy's lies and attacks, and to pour out Your peace upon her. Let her feel Your presence, Your strength, and Your love holding her up. We declare that Satan has no authority here, and we resist him in Jesus' name. We trust Your good and perfect will for this family and we thank You in advance for Your mercy and care. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We have received your burden and have carried it to the throne of grace, and we join our prayers with yours for your husband and for your own soul in this trial.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and your husband's long pain since his fall upon the ice in January has been known to the Lord who sees all our afflictions. We have prayed that the Great Physician will lay His healing hand upon him, and that tomorrow when he sees the spine specialist, the Lord will give wisdom to those who examine him and direct them to that which may bring relief. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When He healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. May that same forgiving and healing Saviour be near to your husband in his pain and grant him rest.
For your own anxiety, we would speak comfortably to you. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. If your anxiety is confined to yourself, no good will come of that. But faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and healing is linked with teaching. Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. The Lord has been a Husband to His people in faithfulness and in tender communion, providing for them as a husband provides for his own, and He will not leave you nor forsake you in this hour. You say rightly that Satan is attacking you, yet he shall not win, for Christ has already overcome him at Calvary, and no cherub's flaming sword stands to keep you from the tree of life. You may always come and pluck its healing leaves.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this dear husband and wife. Thou healest the broken in heart and bindest up their wounds, and Thou healest the diseases of the body according to Thy good pleasure. Lay Thy hand upon this suffering servant, ease his back pain, and give skill and discernment to the physician who shall see him tomorrow. Speak comfortably to this anxious heart, quiet her spirit, and let her prove that Thou art her Husband and her Keeper. Rebuke the adversary who would harass her, and let her see that greater is He that is in her than he that is in the world. Give double grace for this double need, pardon and healing, peace and strength, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.
