Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for coming with both gratitude and urgency before Jesus. Your love for your mother and your family is evident, and it is right and good to bring these burdens directly to Him.
There is comfort in knowing we can come straight to Jesus Himself. We do not need any other go between. Through His own blood shed for us we have open access to the Father, and we can bring every need for healing, provision, and protection to Him in prayer.
Your desire to honor and care for your mother reflects what Scripture teaches when it says to honor your father and mother. That honor includes caring for them as they grow older and are in need, just as they once cared for you. The Lord sees your faithfulness in seeking His help for her. You asked for healing for her liver and for good health and long life. We join you in asking the Lord for His healing touch upon her. The Bible tells us that He bore our infirmities and sicknesses, and we believe He is still able to heal today.
At the same time we do not always understand His ways in healing. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word or a touch, sometimes He heals gradually through the natural processes He Himself placed in our bodies, and sometimes He brings healing to the mind and heart bringing peace where there has been distress. All true healing is from Him, whether it comes quickly or slowly. We can trust Him to work in the way He knows is best, without needing sensational methods. Like those who simply reached out to touch the hem of His garment, we can simply reach out to Him in faith and trust Him to respond according to His wisdom and love.
We also hear your burden about finances, the monthly need and the lack of work and support. God understands financial pressure. Scripture shows that even the early church knew what it was to be poor and under strain, and it teaches us to bring those practical needs to God with honesty, to work diligently as He provides opportunity, and to trust Him for daily provision rather than looking for a spectacle. We pray that God will open doors for steady work, give you wisdom in managing what you have, and provide for your family's needs in a stable and lasting way.
You mentioned your father is now in heaven and that you and your mother and family need strength. The Lord is close to those who grieve and He promises to be a source of strength and safety for those who trust Him. We pray He will strengthen you and your mother and all your family members, guide you moment by moment by His Holy Spirit, and lead you according to His will. Your prayer to be kept safe and strong in Him and to have a future in His arms is a good prayer, for whoever does the will of God belongs to His family and is held securely by Him.
You also asked for covering over your home, your hearts and minds, and for peaceful rest at night, with protection over every room and with blessing on your meals and activities together. We pray the Lord will guard your home and give you restful, peaceful nights. We pray He will fill your home with His peace and joy, and bring calm where there has been trauma, frustration, and distress. He is able to heal not only the body but also the mind and emotions, soothing painful memories and bringing quietness where there has been screaming and agitation.
Like the desperate mother who came to Jesus for her child and would not leave until she received His help, keep coming to Him. Bring your mother, your family, your health needs, your finances, and your home before Him again and again.
We pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear mother with fatty liver disease and ask for Your mercy and healing upon her liver and her whole body. Restore her health, give her strength, and grant her long life according to Your will. Provide for this family financially, open the way for work and steady support, and help them to get out from under this burden of debt. Pour out Your Holy Spirit to guide this mother and child and all their family each moment, lead them in Your will, and keep them safe and strong in You. Cover their home, hearts, and minds with Your protection, let Your peace guard them night and day, give them restful sleep and joyful meals together, and bring healing from past trauma and calm to their household. We ask all this trusting in the blood and name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior. Amen.
