Your heartfelt prayers for your mother and your family have been heard, and we join you in bringing them before the Lord with gratitude and urgency.
It is right that you plead the blood of Jesus Christ, for God has made only one provision for the forgiveness of sin and for our access to Him, and that is through His only Son. There is no other way of atonement. The Spirit bears witness to this truth, and Scripture invites us to come boldly to the throne of grace directly through Jesus who has opened the way. We do not need another intercessor to filter our prayers. When people told Jesus that His mother was outside seeking Him, He asked, who is my mother and who are my brothers, and He pointed to His disciples and said that whoever does the will of God is His brother and sister and mother. We are one family in Him through faith, and we can bring every need straight to Him.
We lift up your mother to the Lord. You asked for healing of her liver and for good health and long life. Jesus showed His power and compassion while on earth in the healing of sickness and infirmity, whether it was a leper cleansed, the servant of a centurion healed, or Peter's mother in law raised from fever, and in the evenings when multitudes came with diseases and with spiritual oppression. He showed authority in the physical realm and in the spiritual realm, and He often healed with great compassion and without display, sometimes telling those healed to quietly give testimony and sometimes healing with a touch, a word, or even with very different methods. He is the same today and He is able. We pray that the Lord in His mercy would touch your mother's body, restore her liver, strengthen her, and grant her health and length of days according to His gracious will.
At the same time we remember that we cannot presume healing in every case as if God must do as we ask. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord chose not to remove it but to give grace through it. So we pray with confidence in God's power to heal, and with submission to His perfect wisdom and love, trusting that His will is best.
We also hear your burden for financial provision. You shared the heavy need each month and the lack of work and support. The Lord knows your need and He honors those who honor their father and mother by caring for them, especially in age and weakness. As you seek to honor and care for your mother, we pray that God would open doors for work, provide for your debts, and bring stability to your household. He has promised that He will not be a debtor to those who trust Him and seek to do His will, and He is able to supply what you need day by day.
We pray for you and your mother and your children and your whole family in this season of grief since your father has gone to be with the Lord. May God strengthen you, keep you safe and strong in Himself, guide you in every moment by His Holy Spirit, and lead you according to His will into the good future He has for those who walk with Him.
We join you in asking for God's holy protection over your home, your hearts and your minds. We ask the Lord to guard every part of your dwelling, to give you restful and peaceful nights, to bless your meals and your daily activities with His peace and joy, and to lift from you the weight of past trauma, frustration and distress. May He quiet what troubles you and fill your home with calm and wholeness.
Father, we bring this mother and her family before You in the name of Jesus Christ. Cover them with Your forgiveness and grace through His blood. Lay Your healing hand upon this mother and restore her body if it be Your will, grant her health and many days to live for Your glory. Provide for this family financially, open the way for honest work and daily bread, and deliver them from this burden of debt. Give Your Holy Spirit's help and guidance in every decision, comfort them in their loss, strengthen them together, keep them safe from harm, and let Your peace guard their home and their sleep. We ask this in the miraculous name of Jesus, our only hope and our great physician, Amen.
