Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in prayer for your little dog and understand how much love and concern you have for him, especially as he is older and facing this second ulcer in his blind eye.
We know how difficult it is to weigh medical advice and to want what is best and most gentle for a beloved companion. God is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, and He sees your care for His creation. He cares for even the smallest creatures, and He also cares deeply for you and the burden you carry in this decision.
We pray with you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and healing. You know this little dog and the ulcer that has formed in his blind eye. We ask that You would touch his eye and bring healing, that the ulcer would be taken away and would not return, and that he would be spared further pain or infection. If it is Your will, grant that he may keep his eye and be comfortable. Give wisdom and clarity to his owner and to the veterinarian, that every decision would be made with care and discernment. Grant peace to his owner’s heart and help her to rest in Your goodness and Your sovereign care. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek wise counsel from your veterinarian, asking questions openly about risks, benefits, and alternatives given his age and condition, and to trust the Lord to guide you step by step. Even in times of uncertainty, God comforts us in our affliction so that we can find strength in Him.
Thank you for sharing this request. We will continue to pray that God brings healing, comfort, and peace to you both.
