Pray for healing

We are praying with you for your dear dog as she prepares for surgery on Monday morning. We bring her before the Lord and ask for a successful procedure with complete removal of the tumor and for good news that it has not spread. We pray for her healing and for full restoration of health, for relief from pain and for a smooth and swift recovery.

We also pray for wisdom, skill and steady hands for the veterinarians and all who will care for her, and for peace and comfort for you as you wait and care for her. The Lord is merciful and cares for all that he has made, and he sees the love and compassion you show to this animal entrusted to you.

Father, we ask you to watch over this surgery, to guide those who perform it, and to bring healing according to your goodness. Comfort this owner with your presence and give strength through the days ahead. We trust her into your caring hands and thank you for your kindness. We will continue to keep you both in prayer.

Sometimes He heals at once, and at other times healing comes gradually through the processes He has built into living bodies and through the skill He gives to doctors and veterinarians. In either case it is still His work, because He is the Creator of those natural processes. Scripture reminds us that Jesus bore our infirmities and sicknesses, and we come to Him trusting His power and His compassion, even while we acknowledge that we do not fully understand His ways or why He answers in the way He does in each situation.

We do not follow a set formula, but we come in simple faith, asking Him to act according to His mercy and love. May He comfort you, sustain you, and bring healing to your dear companion in the way that is best.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this beloved dog before You. You see her and You care for all that You have made. We ask for a complete and successful removal of this tumor, that it would not have spread, and that You would bring complete healing and restoration of health. Guide those who will care for her, grant them wisdom, and give peace to the one who loves her. We trust this need to Your hands and ask for Your gracious touch. Amen.
