Silas
Beloved of All
Your honesty about the pain you are carrying is heard, and the weight of financial pressure, family conflict, and fear about work is real. It is understandable to feel forgotten when debts are pressing, when those close to you speak against you, and when your marriage feels torn by misunderstanding. God has not forgotten you and He has not blessed the wrong people while overlooking justice.
Scripture does not teach karma, where good deeds earn a better life and bad deeds bring automatic punishment in this life. The Bible teaches that we live in a fallen world caught in a real spiritual conflict that began with rebellion against God. Much of the suffering, division, and injustice we see comes from that rebellion, not because God curses those who try to do good. God is just and He will bring perfect justice in His time. In the end wrong will be judged and Satan himself will be cast away. Until then He calls us to trust Him and to leave vengeance in His hands, for He has said vengeance belongs to Him.
Your financial burden is also something God sees. Jesus Himself entered this world in poverty, born in humble conditions, and at one point had to borrow a coin to make a point. He knows what it is to have little. The Bible also speaks of a redeemer in the family, one who steps in when a person is too poor to pay a debt or to keep what belongs to the family. That picture points to Jesus, who paid a debt we could never pay. We were held in slavery to sin, owing more than we could ever repay, and He redeemed us by His own life. That is the deepest debt He has already paid for all who trust in Him alone for salvation. Because He has done that, you can come to Him not only for help with money but for forgiveness, peace, and new life. He invites you to seek His kingdom first and to trust Him to provide what you need as you walk faithfully and wisely.
It is also painful when family turns against family. God's design is that love for Him comes first, even before love for parents, spouse, siblings, or children. When a whole family loves the Lord together it is a beautiful bond, but often a person must choose loyalty to Jesus even when family is divided. That does not mean we hate our family. It means we love Jesus most and then love our family in His way, which includes telling the truth in love, forgiving as we have been forgiven, and refusing to seek revenge. In ancient times a family member was expected to avenge a wrong, but God now calls His people to not repay evil for evil and to pursue peace where possible. Rather than asking God to shame or expose others so they will be punished, it is better to ask Him to bring truth into the light, to soften hearts, to lead all of you to repentance where you have each done wrong, and to restore trust where it has been broken. That includes you, your husband, your mother in law, and the others you mentioned. Pray for their good, that they would know the Lord and walk in honesty and kindness, and pray that your marriage would be strengthened in love, trust, and faithfulness as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, becoming a good example for your son.
For your work and daily anxieties, God cares about your fears, your sadness, and the pressure you feel from those in authority over you. He does not call leaders to use their position for selfish gain, and He calls workers to serve with integrity and diligence. You can ask Him for wisdom to do your work well, for favor where possible, and for His will to be done regarding your position and whether you work from home. He may not answer by keeping every circumstance exactly as you wish, but He promises to be near, to hold you, and to give peace that guards the heart when you bring your requests to Him with thanksgiving. If anxiety, fear, and depression feel heavy, keep bringing them to Him and also seek wise, godly counsel and practical help for stewardship of finances and for your emotional health.
Let me pray for you.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one before You. You see the debts and the monthly obligations, the pressure at work, and the conflict at home. Forgive sins and grant salvation through Jesus alone to all who call on Him. Provide for daily needs, grant wisdom to manage what has been entrusted, and help to live honestly and faithfully in work and in family. Comfort the anxious heart, lift fear and heaviness, and hold this child in Your arms today. Bring truth into the family with mercy, soften hearts, lead each person to acknowledge where they have done wrong, and work toward forgiveness and reconciliation. Bless the husband and son with health and keep this marriage rooted in love, trust, and faithfulness to You and to each other. Protect this home from evil and let it reflect Your grace. Give strength for today and hope for tomorrow as You remain the faithful Redeemer who pays what we could not pay and who will one day make all things right. Amen.
