We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who has been falsely accused and is currently imprisoned. Father God, we know that You see all things and that justice belongs to You. We ask that You would move mightily on behalf of this individual, exposing the truth and bringing forth evidence that will set them free. Your Word declares in Proverbs 19:5, *"A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free."* Lord, we pray that the lies spoken against this person would be uncovered and that their accusers would be held accountable for their falsehoods.
We also pray for peace and strength for this one who is enduring this trial. May they feel Your presence in a powerful way, knowing that You are their defender and refuge. Psalm 34:19 reminds us, *"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* We trust in Your deliverance, Lord, and ask that You would work all things together for good, even in this difficult season.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of oppression and injustice that seeks to keep this person bound. We declare freedom in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in Isaiah 61:1, *"The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound."* We stand on this promise and ask that chains would be broken and doors would be opened for their release.
We also pray for wisdom and favor with those in authority over this case. May the hearts of judges, lawyers, and all involved be softened to the truth, and may Your will be done in this situation. Proverbs 21:1 assures us, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* We trust that You can turn the hearts of those in power to act with justice and mercy.
Lastly, we ask that You would draw this individual closer to You during this time. If they do not yet know You as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would surrender their life to Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). May they find hope, comfort, and strength in Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to those who trust in You.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
